Wonderful full-day private tour with William! A day well spent!! - During our recent trip to Amsterdam, we took this full day private tour with Trigger Tours and we are so glad we did this tour! Trigger tours team is very easy to work with, was extremely responsive and professional - it made the overall process of reserving the tour a breeze!! We toured the Kinderdijk, Rotterdam, Delft and The Hague with William and a had an amazing day. William contacted us 24 hours before and reconfirmed the start time of the tour and picked us up right in the lobby of our hotel in Amsterdam. We started at the tour at 800 am and first visited the The Hague. After spending 90 minutes in Hague, we then stopped at Delft visiting the city center and a 17th century Pottery factory, which was truly amazing. We also took a quick coffee break at Stads Koffy Huis – a charming little café (I did a separate review on that one on TripAdvisor). A quick drive brought us to Rotterdam where was saw the Erasmus Bridge and took a quick-fire tour of the Cube Houses. We then spent nearly 60 minutes in the Food Market Hall and had our lunch there. From there, we drove to the last and the best stop of our tour the Kinderdijk. Luckily for us, the weather was extremely pleasant which really made the Kinderdijk stop spectacular. We spent about 90 minutes here learning about the water control systems and touring the windmills. As part of the tour - we visited a working windmill and got a first-hand experience of water management network & technology that was originally implemented in 18th century and more importantly, learnt as to why these windmills were constructed in the first place! After a wonderful tour at tour Kinderdijk, William drove us back to Amsterdam and dropped us at the lobby of our hotel around 700 pm. William was thoroughly professional, very friendly and was an excellent guide. Our family really enjoyed this tour. Though this tour is slightly on the expensive side but is worth every penny! Strongly recommended!

Less experienced guide - Our guide introduced himself as Robert and during the tour, some of the things we asked, he is unable to answer. Far different from all the other guides described in the review. At the end of the tour, he informed us that he is only helping out his friend who is overseas. I think that the operator should not have accepted this booking if the regular guides are not available.

Not worth the $$$ - Purchased an 8 hour private day trip and we were returned to the hotel after 5.5 hours. We had just taken a cruise so we asked to change the itinerary of the tour and the guide was agreeable. He suggested a boat tour in Rotterdam but when we got there he said we would need to pay for it with euros. We did not want to pay more as we thought everything but dinner was included in this expensive tour. We then asked to see the Dutch country side (we had already been to Kinderdijk) and were told it was too far and there wasn't much to see. He did take us to the lovely town of Delft and a very nice ceramic shop where the owner explained how his art was created. Our guide tried to take us to the nearby beach but wasn't familiar with the area. We were able to drive by and see the North Sea but he was not sure of where to stop so we could get out and explore. The guide was nice and knowledgeable of the areas he was familiar and gave us some small gifts he had purchased. He had lived in the States so his English was very good which was appreciated. However, he used the f* bomb often especially since he kept getting lost. He finally used GPS toward the end of the tour to get us back to the hotel so he could go meet his dinner date.
