Chasing Waterfalls Fantastic! - Amazing day chasing waterfalls through spectacular scenery. Kurtnny, our guide, was great, friendly and informative. Very helpful in every way . I would recommend this tour with him for everyone visiting Dominica.

Great option for cruise ship day trippers - We arrived by cruise ship so only had limited time to the sample the delights spectacular Dominica. This tour takes in some great 'must see' sights in a calm and relaxed manner.
There were just the three of us with a wonderful tour guide/driver who showed us the sights. The rocks on the beach at Champagne Reef are on the pointy side, rather than smooth rounded pebbles; so make sure you have something to walk on (flip flops/sliders will do fine).
It wasn't obvious where to swim out to at Champagne Reef but not to worry as our guide simply got in the water and led the way! We used out own snorkelling gear at Champagne Reef.
Trafalgar Falls were lovely and we had fun scrambling on the rocks below.
Loved the local fruits sampling - a really enjoyable stop off along the way.
TiTou was another stunning location, once again led by our very own Aquaman! Hiring of buoyancy aids was mandatory here ($3 USD)
Chilled refreshments were provided which was a nice touch.
Tour does not include entry fees to to some locations but they were nominal and it was made clear at time of booking.

Our trip was booked through Viator and fulfilled by chic-hospitality.

To experience Dominica, get in the water! - It was a joy to experience "The Nature Island" with native "Big Momma" as our guide. His love for the island and its people was evident. Swimming into Titou Gorge was fun and snorkeling the Champagne Reef was amazing. At each of these, we had another experienced guide. Along the way, we learned about the flora and fauna of beautiful Dominica. Thanks to the whole crew!

Amazing waterfalls. - Swimming in Titou falls was amazing. The view at trafalga falls great. It was a treat to stop at the local fruits sampling table. Sulfur spring a good quick stop. Champagne beach was rocky but a nice way to end the day. It is a lot of twisty roads but a comfortable small van. Wear good walking/water shoes.

Good tour & guide, some aspects were underwhelming - We loved the Ti Tou Gorge on tubes. The botanical garden was underwhelming. Champagne reef was closed.

Great Tour, but overpriced. - We arrived via cruise ship and chose this tour because the tours they offered on the ship didn't look nearly as good and were about the same price.
The tour was great and we liked the tour guide and driver. However, the driver was not waiting for us in the area where we were told to meet. We had to ask around the tourism office and he eventually showed up after a bit of a wait. Also, we were kind of annoyed that we had to wait even longer because the tour guide tried to get more cruise ship passengers who didn't book in advance to join the tour.
Again, the driver and tour guide were great and we enjoyed the tour immensely, we were just unhappy with how it started. If I had to guess, the people who joined our tour late were probably able to pay quite a bit less than those of us who booked in advance.
I would advise people visiting Dominica for the day to just find a driver/tour guide upon getting off the ship in the morning. There are a ton of tour guides by the tourism office across the street from the port.

Return message - Unfortunately, the excursion did not match the description. The guide spoke very monotonously and constantly! Friends had recommended the excursion to us but we went to completely different places. The excursion van stank disgustingly inside! What a pity, we had expected so much!

Don't book in advance! We seriously overpaid for this tour! - We booked the "Chasing Waterfalls" experience through Chic Hospitality for our cruise port stop in Dominica. First of all, our booking told us to meet at the Bayfront Monument when we arrived by cruise ship. We waited for some time there, and finally had to turn on our phone to reach out for help as we could not find the tour driver. We were then given a different location to meet, and had to walk there, where we found 6 other people waiting to start the tour. Throughout the day as we were chatting, came to find out that most of them had not booked through Chic Hospitality, but just found the driver and joined the tour that day. We paid $99 per person through Chic, and these people paid $40 the day of, to do the exact same thing. Then throughout the day, at almost every stop, we had to pay a fee of some sort. For example, we stopped at Titou Gorge, and we had to pay $3 per person for the use of a life jacket, which was required, and another $10 if we wanted a tour guide to take us into the gorge. For the snorkel stop at Champagne Beach, we had to pay $2 per person to enter the beach. There was a big staircase to get to the beach, very steep and no handrail, so definitely not recommended for anyone with any mobility limitations. Then if we wanted to snorkel, which was the purpose of the stop, I would estimate the walk to the spot where the bubbles were was maybe 1/3-1/2 mile away, on rocks, and no snorkel equipment was provided, so that was another rental. The stop at the twin waterfalls was another $5 per person to enter. We were told it was a 10 minute walk to the falls, but a 10 minute walk is different than a 10 minute hike on a staircase, so be prepared to walk about 24 flights of stairs (per my fitbit).
My recommendation if coming by cruise ship is to just find a tour when you get off the ship. There will be many, many drivers and options available, for WAY less than if you book through Chic Hospitality ahead of time. We are planners, and always book in advance, and this was the one time I regret that choice. We overspent by $120 for the tour by booking in advance for the 2 of us.
When I messaged Chic Hospitality to tell them how disappointed I was, their response is that they are not a "tour" company, but just a transportation company, even though their website states "A certified driver guide will lead this experience and point all points of interest." While he might have told us a few things along the way, there was no "guiding" once we got to the actual places of interest.
The stops were good, Titou Gorge was amazing, the twin waterfalls were great once we got there. Botanical garden was a joke, it was just a grassy area with a couple of trees that we drove through. Champagne Beach was rocky, very difficult to manage getting in/out of the water, with a looong walk to the snorkel spot that has the bubbles.
At one point during the tour, our "driver" (not tour guide) was begging for donations for a child in the hospital. And at the end of the tour, he was basically demanding tips. There was quite a bit of confusion, because he dropped us off at Champagne Beach for the last stop and said someone else would pick us up, said it was $2 per person, and those of us who stayed at the beach thought he was collecting the $2 per person, as he had collected the money at previous stops, so we had paid him the $2 per person along with his demanded tip, and then once we climbed down the staircase to get to the beach, we found out that he did not pay our entry, there was someone else collecting that fee, and we had to pay it again.
