Four days in Rome before our Mediterranean Cruise - My Family and I arrived in Rome 4 days before our Mediterranean Cruise on the Majestic Princess. After checking into the Hotel Montecarlo , we decided to get some rest after our long flight. The nest day we had tickets to the Colosseum. We met our guide at the entrance of the Colosseum. Our tickets included the lower level of the Colosseum where we watched a short video that took us back to the time of the Gladiators. We found the history very informative and interesting. After touring the lower level we were escorted by our guide to the very upper floor, where we could spend some time and continue taking pictures. The next day we visited the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel it was amazing. Our third day we decided to walk to the Trevi Fountain it was very crowded because of the Easter weekend, there were people everywhere. We had a great visit in Rome we saw a lot and walked a lot. Our cruise started on April 21 so we took a Taxi from our hotel to the cruise port in Civitavecchia, Italy.
