A spiritual moments - I’ve seen many churches, but nothing compares to St. Peter’s. The guide made it even better. He told stories that made you feel connected, not just informed. Being in a small group meant we could ask questions and really take our time. This wasn’t just a tour, it felt like a spiritual moment. 🙏

A great adventure - The guide brought so much life into the tour, and hearing about Michelangelo’s work while standing under his dome was surreal. The size, the silence, the art, it stays with you. Definitely do this in a small group if you want to feel the place, not just see it.

Never on a Wednesday morning. - We visited on a Wed at 11.30am. I would not recommend any visit before 13 00 on a Wed as this is Papel audience day. As a result, we had to "battle" through an enormous crowd in 35°C temp. We then had to endure a 45 min wait in the heat as the tour group was not allowed priority entry. Once inside, it was so packed that it was elbow to elbow to move around. As a Catholic, I woukd have loved the opportunity to pray in this divine location but was ushered out by security. A very disappointing visit in a Jubilee year.
