Roman history and the Jewish Ghetto. - Our guide Brian was excellent. He was so knowledgeable about Roman history and what happened in the Jewish Ghetto. We were fascinated as we walked and he pointed out landmarks. He also let us stop at a small Jewish bakery and buy bake goods. I highly recommend this tour.

Very informative - Very interesting to hear about the history of the Jewish ghetto before and after world war 2. Our guide Martina was very good. In Trastevere she pointed out the main sites and helped us get street food.

PERFECTION!! Best tour EVER! - What a fabulous first experience for our visit to Rome! As it happened, our walking tour “group” was just two of us (my friend and I), so our tour was special in that regard. Arianna was our tour guide and she was absolutely the most fantastic tour guide we’ve ever met. She was incredibly knowledgeable, personable, fun and energetic - her love for Rome is palpable! Arianna was able to answer all of our questions — her grasp of history was so impressive and she also shared a great deal about current affairs as well, giving us a much better perspective of both the past and the present. We learned a great deal and saw everything we wanted to see AND MORE! At the end of our tour, she wrote down a list of suggestions for us such as where to find the best fried artichoke, the most authentic Italian meals and more. We could have spent the entire day with her — it was just THAT wonderful a time. If you are considering a tour of the Jewish Ghetto and Trastevere, don’t hesitate to book this one. My hope is that you are able to have your tour with Arianna, because she is absolutely the BEST!!!

Exceeded expectations! - I was at our meeting point 15 minutes early. Usually people start trickling in for a tour shortly after. No one was coming. At our set meeting time, Yash came and informed me I was the only one signed up! This surprised and impressed me before we even started the tour. I would have assumed that he would have cancelled since it was just me. Yash was awesome, we toured and talked and he answered all my questions. He is a very kind, smart young man. I would recommend this tour to anyone! It was nice to learn more about the Jewish Ghetto and the history of how it all evolved!

Not the tour for you if you really want to learn about Jewish Ghetto & Jewish experiences in Rome - While our tour guide was lovely and prompt, it became readily apparent that she did not know very much about the Jewish Ghetto area or Jewish life in Rome. She also didn't speak much Italian which made translating signs (including the memorial plaque to the Jews rounded up and transported to the Concentration Camps) near impossible. She did not point out Hebrew street signs, and seemed to miss some important landmarks that we noticed ourselves. Trastevere looked like an interesting area, but there were long periods of just walking without information. Don't take this tour if you actually want to learn about the Jewish Ghetto area, & about Jewish life then & now in Rome.

Disappointing - I expected a Jewish guide for the Jewish Ghetto. Sofia was very sweet but her English wasn't good enough to describe the treatment of Jews nor did she have the shared heritage to truly recreate the horrors. I wanted to go to the synagogue but we crossed to Testevere and spent more time on things I was less interested in. I booked a tour at 9:45 as I knew museum would close for Shabbat but was moved to 11:15 and caught the last synagogue tour but not much time for museum The Nazi/Holocaust museum was already closed so I missed that too 😞
