This budget-friendly tour is the best value for money for travelers that are interested in 1) seeing the museum’s highlights 2) meeting a new friend or two through your group and 3) skipping the lines (trust us, with over 6 million tourist spilling into the museum every year, you’ll want it!)
Disclaimer: you will be entering the Vatican museum during one of the busiest times of the day. While the tour provides skip-the-line access, the crowds in the museum vary from day to day and some delay with security can be expected (it would be misleading for other tour operators to not tell you this!)
- Unforeseen events= The Vatican is its own country and therefore the Pope can decide also last minute to close St. Peter’s Basilica for ad hoc events. It is a very rare event during the year but it is possibile and we will do our best to inform you. If it is too late to inform you, our guide will extend the tour in the Vatican. Not to worry that the incredibile collection of Vatican Museums and the masterpiece of Michelagelo in the Sistine Chapel will still be included.
- Most of our tours include the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica. However, there are two specific options with different inclusions. You will find below:
- Museums & SISTINE CHAPEL Tour – Includes the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel but does NOT include St. Peter’s Basilica.
- ST.PETER’S BASILICA TOUR – Includes St. Peter’s Basilica but does NOT include the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel.

From Scotland, and cannot rate this guided tour higher - Simply cannot rate this trip higher. We skipped masive ques and our guide Mario was exceptional. If you go without a guide, you will miss so much back ground information. We learned so much which would have been missed. 5 star rating can only be given. Exceptional. Mario was so passionative and informative. Top top tour. You will not get better, and well worth the cost. We are from Scotland, and loved it. Toilet stop mid tour for those who are wondering.

Excellent tour with Great tour guide - This was an excellent tour covering Vatican museums, Sistine chapel and St Peter’s. With the inclusion of skip the line entries ensured that as much time as possible could be spent in the buildings and getting the insight and knowledge of Mario, our Tour Guide. He was excellent and ensured we got the most out of the tour.

Wonderful Tour - The price was brilliant for what we saw. We were about 3 hours.
We got to see the Vatican museum, Sistine Chapel and St. Peters Basilica. Our guide was great - very knowledgeable, friendly, very informative. We skipped the line so didn't have to queue at all which saved so much time. We had the option of the dome and going under the basilica too. I loved every minute, I would definitely use this tour again!

We had the "tall German... - We had Carl the "tall German guy" as our tour guide and he was outstanding!! He was funny and very informative. He was incredibly knowledgeable and encouraged everyone to ask questions which made it an amazing tour. We would highly recommend this tour, not only for skipping the lines, but for learning an abundance of facts while seeing unbelievable art and architecture. The Basilica was breathtaking.

Paola was the guide with the golden pass! - A full tour of the things you want to see when in Rome. You should book this one for your adventure into the Vatican, Sistine Chapel, and the Basilica. We walked the entire place. The only thing that was not included was a trip to the dome at St. Peter’s. A small fee was owed, but we passed due to time constraints, not price.
If you can get Paola as your guide, do it! She was the best. Full of knowledge and kindness, she also was able to get us some special access to get through extra lines! She was the unknown jewel of the tour!

Superb time admiring the magnificent works of art and learning about the history and mythology at the Vatican. - Our guide, Giovanni, was fabulous. He is extremely knowledgeable about art, history, religion and Greek and Roman mythology. We learned a great deal and had a magnificent time touring the Vatican and basilica.

Well worth it. Giovanni was lovely - Very worth it. No queue. Excellent guide. Helped make sense of the Vaticans place in history. So glad I booked this tour. Group of 20. Headsets inside and left to wander at will in St Peters at the end. Good organisation and comes too. Well done.

Giovanni is the best!! - 5/5 – Absolutely worth it
This tour exceeded our expectations. Our guide Giovanni was fantastic—knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely enthusiastic about answering questions. You could tell he loves what he does.
The "skip-the-line" benefit was real. We saved at least an hour compared to the regular entrance queue, which was a game-changer given how much there is to see. Our group was around 20 people, which felt manageable—we could always hear Giovanni clearly and had enough space to actually appreciate the art. The length of the tour was 3 hours.
The Sistine Chapel was the definite highlight. Having Giovanni walk us through the history and details beforehand made the experience so much more meaningful than if we'd just wandered in on our own.
My only small wish is that we could have toured St. Peter's Basilica together as a group rather than exploring it independently. That said, it didn't take away from what was an incredible experience overall.
I'd recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rome—whether it's your first time or you just want to skip the chaos and actually learn something. Worth every penny.
