Highlights
  • Vatican Museums - Visit the Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel on your own or with a guide (if option selected). Tickets provide skip the line access.
  • Cortile della Pigna - Explore one of the Vatican’s many open air courtyards. This one is decorated with a giant bronze pinecone sculpture, giving the courtyard its name.
  • Sphere within a Sphere - Access Vatican Museums and discover the famous “Sphere within a Sphere” sculpture.
  • Museo Pio Clementino - The Vatican Museums are divided into many smaller, unique museums. Among them, the Museo Pio Clementino is likely the most important, and the many highlights it contains cannot be missed! Stop at the Octagonal Courtyard for the Laocoonte and the Apollo Belvedere – or the Round Room for the giant marble bathtub patrolled by an enormous bronze statue of Heracles. Spot a sculpture of your favorite fauna at the Room of the Animals, or just marvel at the 3D painted vaults of the Gallery of the Candelabra.
  • Gallery Of The Maps - One of the most popular galleries of the Museums, make a stop here and try to spot the Italian cities you have travelled to, or your ancestor’s hometown. These hand-painted maps, dating to the late 1500’s, can also be admired for the exquisite attention to detail and embellishments. See if you can spot the nod to Christopher Columbus’ voyage across the Atlantic…
  • Stanze di Raffaello - Admire Raphael’s Rooms – painted by the master himself and his pupils around the same time as the Sistine Chapel – and inspired and challenged by Michelangelo’s greatest masterpiece.
  • Sistine Chapel - Michelangelo’s masterpiece, take time to admire the vaults.

Excellent small group tour with Fabio! - We had a most wonderful tour with Fabio. He was knowledgeable, funny and he managed the time and our interests very well. It's a tough ask with two teenagers bur even they were impressed. Of course, Sistine is impressive but Fabio's commentary and jokes made the 3 hour fly by and we learned so much. Highly recommended!!

Vatican skip the line tour - Our guide's knowledge and history were amazing. They truly made the entire experience. I suggest going at 8:00 a.m., as they let the general public in at 9:00, and the crowd really builds up later in the day.

Amazing Tour of the Vatican - If you have a limited amount of time to visit the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's, a tour like this one is an absolute must. The crowds were enormous, and the buildings were huge and quite confusing. Having a skilled and experienced guide who can not only help you navigate your way through the complex but can also educate you on all that you're seeing and make sure that you don't miss the highlights, is essential. Marcello and the EcoArt folks are consummate pros; I felt very fortunate to be able to put myself in their capable hands. Highly recommend.

Fabulous tour. We'll worth it. - Our tour guide Fabrizio was fabulous. He definitely hit all the important points of the tour. He included a lit of information, pictures etc. It took about 2.5 hrs for the tour but was well worth it. We were so intrigued with all the artwork and painted Sistine Chapel by the very skilled Michaelangelo. We brought our ten year old with us, and she was so interested in all Fabrizio spoke about. This is a great way to for you and your little one to learn about important history of the Vatican and Sistine Chapel. I would recommend only to do a tour like this with children 8 years old or older as they can have some understanding and knowledge of what is discussed during the tour.

Meh - Unfortunately this tour was disappointing. The tour guide was very kind and considerate but difficult to understand. She was Italian and her accent was difficult to understand. Additionally, there was quite a bit of static in the ear piece and she sounded muffled the whole time. I expected more history but she mostly focused on the artists (predominantly Michelangelo) and their technique.
