- Any customer wishing to participate in a Segway tour must first undergo an introductory training session with the specialist staff
- The decision of the trainer on customer ability to use the Segway is final
- Tours are only available to customers aged 16 or over and children accompanied by a parent or guardian
- No driving licence is required
- You should to be fit enough to go up and down steps without assistance, in order to climb onto and off the Segway quickly and independently
- Participants must be between 45 and 113 kilograms in weight and are required to sign a disclaimer before setting out on the tour

Simply the BEST! If you've got only time for one tour - This is the one to do in Rome. - There are tour guides, and then there are TOUR GUIDES. Ahmad is one of those rare tour guides that doesn't only have breadth and depth of his subject matter (having run tours for over 14 years), but is also attentive to the individual needs of his group. He took great pains to ensure that everyone was safe and comfortable on the Segway's and ensured that everyone was trained appropriately. There were times on the tour where we felt he had eyes at the back of his head, being able to navigate his way through the crowds, while simultaneously ensuring that we took the optimal/safest path.
In terms of tour content, we covered nearly 90% of all the great tourist sites in Rome inside of 3 hours. Despite the high number of tourists in the street at the time, Ahmad ensured that we got sufficient time at each of the locations, and allowed good time for photo-ops.
There is simply no substitute for being able to view Rome on a Segway. It gives one the ability to be mobile/fast, and at the same time, gives you a ground level perspective. Ahmad peppers the entire tour with his knowledge of the various sites.

Extended tour of all the sights of central Rome. - Our guide ahmed was knowledgeable, occasionally funny and very committed to the group. He made room to add personal wishes to the tour.
The tour went through a very busy part of the city, so you can’t ‘play’ on the Segway. The guide therefore had a lot of stress which he radiated very much in the beginning. Later that came good and all in all it was a fun, interesting tour where we saw almost all of (central) Rome. Recommended, but maybe better at a slightly less busy time.

A kind guide & a positive experience - Our guide Ahmed was kind and respectful to us and to all the pedestrians and drivers during our trip. He greeted many people and often made friendly comments to people he passed. One young person in our group did a number of risky/foolish things and came off his Segway. Ahmed never lost patience with him, just explained he wanted the fellow to avoid hurting himself. We saw a lot in the tour and I have remembered many of the interesting facts we were told when I walked around Rome the next few days. Occasionally I would have preferred Ahmed tell us things rather than ask us to guess but he worked hard to keep us safe and engaged.

Great way to see Rome - This was so much fun. Got to see a lot, right up close and personal. Went places we would have missed, got to ride in traffic, our guide was just great, made sure we were all safe, all of the time.

Segways in Rome - Ahmed was fantastic! Felt very safe. Saw so many wonderful sights!! Felt like we saw everything we wanted except Vatican City. I highly recommend this tour!

Fun tour, easy to learn, awesome guide - Great guide, saw a ton of the best sites and a bit of the history of each. Our guide had tips about the city and showed us restaurants and places to go. You won't spend a lot of time at any site, but you will see them all.

Brilliant all round - 10/10 - We got lucky enough that it was just me and my boyfriend on this tour. Our guide was absolutely brilliant so fun and friendly and knew his stuff too. Took us all around Rome and showed us a few quieter spots. Made us feel completely in control of what we wanted to do and ask him. Brilliant all round would recommend to all!!

Beautiful experience - August’24... very hot... my 16-year-old son and I wanted to take a ride around Rome: “but in this heat?” (We asked ourselves).
And so this “genius” idea to redo (I know Rome quite well) the tour of Rome without too much effort!
My son just at the idea of using the segaway was very excited... moreover on the streets of Rome amid its unique beauties (yes, I admit I am madly in love with Rome)!
And so, I book the three-hour tour short in advance... the manager immediately calls me, we agree and we meet in Piazza del Popolo. Brief briefing and “skill” tests on the segaway and off we go for three beautiful hours!
Ahmed, “the Guide”... is extraordinary!
Very prepared, very kind... really the best!
Everyone knows him and everyone seems to love him!
You can see that even if not “son of Rome”, Rome has him in its heart and Rome has adopted him!
And so between visits to historical places, art... anecdotes that Hamed told us at every moment, he made me discover a Rome in Rome! Really interesting!
Of course, to see the details of the city in three hours is impossible ... but to see in those three hours, on the convenience of the segaway and with the stories of Hamed Piazza Navona, Trevi, S. Ignazio, Colosseum, Teatro Marcello, Pantheon, Imperial Forums, Spain, Via Margutta (with the stories on the film “Roman Holiday” ...), so many quotes to the historic flood ... and really so many other places was extraordinary.
(I wrote the itinerary in random order...)
Here is the Recommendation for those arriving in Rome and then understand on which monuments then focus attention!
Exploratory tour, indicative... that in three hours fully satisfied us!
