Busy Rome - 3rd time in Rome and first for our friends. It was so busy that most attractions we only got to see outside. We tried booking well in advance and ended up trying to get tickets at sites. We did get into Castel Sant' Angelo, which is just amazing and offers beautiful views of Rome. Loads of access to many areas, which makes this one of the best castle visits anywhere. Not expensive to visit. You can line up and buy on the day, we waited half hour. Big Bus tour around Rome was not too bad, we used it more of a taxi to get to different areas. Spanish steps and Trevi fountain are a must and even if you visit the Colosseum from the outside, if you can't get tickets, that is still magical. If you want to see everything, give yourself a good 4-5 full days, book very early from the official site, not resellers and just go the fast pass. If you don't do fast pass you will be lining up everywhere and you will hate the experience. We stayed outside of Rome on an Olive farm in Casalazzara and caught the train into Termini station and it only cost us €3. That was perfect for us as we didn't want the beeping horns and garbage trucks keeping us awake.

Our tour guide, Bogdan,... - Our tour guide, Bogdan, gave a fantastic tour of the Colosseum. He was knowledgeable, funny, and gave us tips for the best photo ops. Bogdan expertly wove together ancient Roman history, modern history, and pop culture references for a truly enjoyable experience.

A chilly day at the Colosseum - Once again, being our first time using this particular service, we found it very helpful to use a taxi going to the location because they can put you exactly at the meeting site.
The second thing I would suggest is make sure that you read all of your booking details where it says SEE MORE, press see more some of the attractions require photo ID to enter.

The tour was very good.... - The tour was very good. We had some difficulty finding the meeting point, and I would suggest adding instructions to the listing and sending a message to participants rather than just dropping a pin.

Stunning but crowded! - The meeting point and visibility of the guide was vague.
Meeting point quite a distance from the entry point.
Passage through the entrance was smooth.
Once inside, the buildings and relics were amazing to see, but wow, how crowded it gets, particularly at the Colosseum.

Do not book through this company - Do not book through them. We showed up 10 minutes early as directed. They said the tour guide did not show up. We asked what our options were. They said we could try to call for a refund. We took the tickets and went inside and had no idea what to view. Then, had to wait in a really long line for Palatine Hill in the heat of the day/sun. Had we known it was going to be canceled we would have gone early in the morning and been prepared with what to do there- and bought much cheaper tickets. We tried to get a refund. It was painful. We didn't get all the money back as we should have with the terrible experience.
