You will learn something new... excellent tour - Our guide, Nick, was an exceptional host who was able to give us a rich historical background about the sites we visited. He promised something different and although I have visited Rome in the past, he was able to offer different perspectives and insights into the politics and foundation of this lovely city. Well done - highly recommended.

An EXCEPTIONAL tour! - Nick was a captivating tour guide - incredibly passionate and knowledgeable on Rome's extensive history and highly engaging in his delivery. We learnt so much about the past 2,500 years and it was presented in such an interesting way that the 3 hours absolutely flew by! We've been on a lot of these tip-based free walking tours and this was without a doubt the best we've done. (Book directly through their website if you can!). Will recommend this tour company to anyone and everyone I know who is coming to Rome!

Superb walking tour - We took the tour with Nick, and it was fantastic! He was so knowledgeable and took us to sites off the beaten track but full of history and context. Delighted to have seen (albeit from a distance as it’s temporarily closed) the Mausoleum of Augustus, and to see the text of Res Gestae writ large on the wall nearby. This was by far my favourite trip that we took in Rome. The fastest three hours - completely flew by. Highly recommended.

A great history tour off the beaten path. - If you love history this is the tour for you! The tour avoids all the busy touristy locations and takes you to sites you probably wouldn’t get to. Our tour guide Nick, a history major originally from England was putting his Roman history to good use. He was funny, knowledgeable & took the time to answer all our questions.

Great tour and a bit different - An interesting walking tour, seeing and talking about the history of Ancient Rome and not the usual sights. Nick’s knowledge of the history of Rome is amazing, he’s probably been doing this a while but he knew the answers to everything that was asked and more. Worth doing this tour if you want something a bit different.
