Great experience with great guides! - A five star experience with 3 star team members. I would highly recommend this tour. Barbara was our tour guide from start to finish. She did a great job managing expectations at every turn. She provided a great overview of the history of Rome, Pompei and Naples. She taught us about the language and the food. Totally unexpected but so interesting. Mauro was our tour guide for the Pompei tour. He made special efforts to find shade on our very hot day; he worked hard to find the path less travel but still making sure we saw all the important parts of the amazing Pompei ruins. The thing the Mauro did that was most outstanding was to effectively handle and might I say with grace the other very aggressive and rude tour guides. It was unbelievable! I guess they were on a schedule (but so were we). Finally I would like to recognize our so very amazing bus driver Antonio. He kept us on time and did an incredibly amazing job navigating the very twisty turco roads headed to Mt Vesuvius!!! Our tour ended with a hike up to the top of mt Vesuvius. It’s steep take your tennis shoes or hiking boots. Well worth going to the top. Don’t give up! The stop we made for food was tasty and efficient. 50 people served a potato croquet, pizza and lemon bar in 1 hour Amazing!!! I would definitely recommend this tour!!!

Great tour well worth the money! Excellent tour guide in Johnathan and great sites! - Johnathan was an INCREDIBLE tour guide! His story telling abilities made even a long bus ride, enjoyable. He was very informative on all topics covered throughout the tour, as well as other topics for our trip to Rome (history of Roman food, sites seen throughout the drive, etc.) Highly recommend this tour and if you are lucky enough to get Johnathan as your guide, you are in for a great day!

Nice guide - Great communication from guide. Bus ride was a little scary up and down the mountain. Bus was worn and missing panels in the ceiling.

Beautiful day for a road trip - Walking to the top of the Mount Vesuvius was a once in a lifetime experience. Seeing Pompey was not what I was expecting but very thought provoking and educational. The restaurant where we had pizza had a beautiful view and was most pleasant. In addition, Alberto was a very considerate and competent tour guide.

Great Day Trip - Fast, But Worth It - Very well worth the early morning departure. While your time in the archaeological site is limited, local guides make sure you see as much of it as possible. I opted for the Vesuvius hike afterward, and have no regrets. It is a bit of a steep hike, but doable for the average person if you stop and take a couple breaks. Make sure you stop for 5 minutes at the top and just take it all in, and let it sink in where you are. Wear sunscreen, bring water. The Vesuvius option also includes a stop for lunch before you hike, and this was one of my favorite meals I had in Italy. Makes me wish I’d scheduled time to go to Naples and eat more pizza. Our guide for the day, Rob, was incredibly sweet. He thread the line perfectly between giving us background and history on the drives there and back, and moments of silence since he knew we were all exhausted. You absolutely could spend hours and hours more here, but this is a good day trip if you want to see it, but don’t have much wiggle room in your schedule.

A Day in the Past - Pompeii was amazing! The site is an archaeological wonder, and we actually got to see a section that was discovered several months ago. Our guide in Pompeii was excellent! She provided us with great information which helped us visualize what it was like to be there in its heyday. Unfortunately, Vesuvius National Park was closed so we were not able to hike it. That’s why I rated it a 4.

Long day trip - Wear proper shoes for Vesuvius it's a steep climb but worth it. As for Pompeii all the artifacts are in the Naples museum so that'll require a side visit. Unfortunately for this tour company the guide for Pompeii was very underwhelming. The mic + radio system stopped working during the tour. It's a long day in the end but each to their own to give it a try. Our guide from tour company was wonderful just not the Pompeii one. Vesuvius climb and view from the top was just beautiful.

Family Summer 2023 Adventure - Our tour guides microphone for the guided walk did not work so our group wasn't able to hear most of the first part of the tour of Pompei. She tried speaking to us without it, but she was soft spoken and we had a large group so we felt cheated out of our experience.
