This tour is one of our most popular walking tours, taking you from Campiglio and the Theatre of Marcello into the Jewish ghetto, where you’ll find Rome’s largest synagogue. From there, it’s a short walk to the famous Campo de’ Fiori square, known for its daily markets. Next, we’ll cross Rome’s oldest bridge to Tiber Island and continue to the Trastevere district, concluding the tour at Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere.

Jewish history tour - Learn a lot about Jewish history of Rome. The guide was very knowledgeable and informative

Jewish Ghetto and Trastevere with Gustav - Our Guide was Gustavo, who taught us and explained all the stops of the tour except one, since the tour is at 19:30 which is not so hot anymore and you can walk quietly, but there is also more tour of the area with some similar stop and just coincided. Still, I found it a very pleasant visit, explained the whole story in great detail and when asked questions, answered them quickly, had good predisposition and was very pleasant. He gave some recommendations for Trastevere that several of us decided to follow. I would recommend it 100%, it was very punctual as well and gave a few minutes of courtesy in case someone was missing. Thanks Gustavo!!

Great time learning about Rome’s Jewish History - We had a great time on this tour. The guide was well versed and really did a great job of teaching us about the wonderful Jewish history of Rome. I would highly recommend this tour!

Informative and interesting - We had a good guide and got to see the Ghetto from the outside and it’s spaces but you don’t get to go inside any spaces that is a seperate booking.

Taste of Jewish history in Rome - Our guide was very knowledgeable and engaging. She often went well beyond the basics. We loved being able to stand and witness the ghetto and know that Jewish life and traditions continue.

Great Tour with Great Jewish History - We had a great time on our tour of the Jewish Quarter and Trastevere. Sarah was a great tour guide who was very knowledgeable and engaging. Saw some cool sites that were really interesting from a Jewish History perspective. It would have been nice to have spent some more time in Trastevere, but the weather was pretty unbearable and some of our tour-mates were a bit slow, so time was (understandably) limited.
