Our guide was incredibly... - Our guide was incredibly informative. Although the tour involved a considerable amount of walking, the experience was fabulous and we had a wonderful overview of the Vatican museums, St. Peter's Basilica, and the Sistine Chapel. The tour was all that we could have hoped for. Our guide was patient with questions, knowledgeable, and always aware of the location of the members in our group. We loved her!

Excellent family experience - Even though I'd been to the Vatican museums many years ago, this tour not only saved me from the logistics of getting tickets and waiting in the huge line, but it also helped me see the main highlights of the vast collections in a decent amount of time. Unless I had studied a lot ahead of time, there was no way to know what the "most important" pieces are in the museums as they aren't really highlighted by signs or anything. We ended the tour inside St Peter's (after our guide giving us the highlights there) where we could stay as long as we wanted. I really enjoyed the insight the guide offered and the efficient use of my limited time in Rome. Crowds being so much worse than in previous years, we have utilized Walks tours in Venice, Rome, and Paris in order to save time and it has been well worth it.

Excellent - Francesco, our tour guide, was excellent. Very knowledgeable, and very good at managing the timetable for the tour. We had booked a 3 hr tour, which meant that in order to see everything, and especially to spend some time in the “important” areas, we had to rush a bit through the beginning of the Vatican museums. My group appreciated this. We’ve noticed that when we are in a large museum, we tend to spend too much time in the beginning of the museum trying to take everything in. But by the time we are halfway through, we are overloaded with information and can no longer appreciate the rest of the works. It was nice to have an experienced guide keeping us on track! And Francesco was very nice, friendly, and answered any question we had. Great experience.

Better than expected tour - We booked a tour with walks in the Vatican. Our tour guide’s name was Sev. He was so knowledgeable and very well prepared. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I learned so much and you could tell he was very passionate about his teachings how much. I highly recommend requesting Sev he even came prepared with an ipad that showed the paintings larger so we could see and understand better

Great guide - The guide was amazing. The tour was at a good pace for everyone in the group. Easy to book and would recommend for anyone, although there are stairs to climb.

A Glorious Experience! - Francesco, our expert guide from Walks of Italy, blessed us with an amazingly informative, super well-organized, fountain of knowledge tour about this special place. Every minute was fun and fascinating. He was easy to understand, sensitive to every incoming question, kept things moving, but not rushed. Oh, and the skip-the-line thing? So, so worth it. Truly. Walks of Italy tours are phenomenal. Simply the best. Don’t settle for less for such a precious experience. Thank you, dear Francesco.

a great way to learn about Art at the Vatican - This is my second time at the Vatican and I enjoyed it a lot more than the first time because of the guided tour. The information provided by the guide really helped us appreciate the artwork.

Well organised but not very in depth - Very well organised tour, communication beforehand was excellent and I appreciated being navigated through the chaotic entrance. The tour itself did feel too focused on the Sistine chapel and I felt rushed through the rest of the galleries. The guide had some good information but a lot was what I already knew (granted, I am a history teacher but this area isn’t my specialism and I wanted to learn more). The guide said multiple times “if it weren’t for the Sistine chapel you wouldn’t be here” which wasn’t true and really highlighted where their focus was. A little disappointing overall.
