WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE WITH A SPECTACULAR GUIDE - I don’t usually think much about these experiences because everyone has their days, but I understand that this time we have to leave a 5 STAR 🌟 and if there were more I would have to put them. Yesterday we lived an EXTRAORDINARY and WONDERFUL for the site itself, ROMAN FORUM OF FLAVIO OR “COLISEUM”... and by LUCK WHAT WE HAD WITH FABIO (who NO FLAVIO😅😅) OUR WONDERFUL GUIDE OF CIVITATIS, with its BLUE AND RED flag (colors nothing footballer🤭 rather symbol of its people... If you can choose To CIVITATIS and if you let them choose ask FABIO. His closeness, his good humor, his wisdom, his abundance of data and his explanations..!! ALL TO FRAME.. FABIO -NO FLAVIO- LO BOR DA DO!! What we say for Andalusia.. we wait for you in ITALICA 👌🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Highly recommend. - Sam did a great job! He’s very friendly and knowledgeable and very easy to understand. He was an archaeologist in Egypt so he could also connect the dots between the two Empires. We loved this tour. Someone in our group did not read the description and had knee issues, too many steps and long walking do not do if you can’t walk up and down steps easily. HIGHLY RECOMMEND SAM and this tour!!!

Rome is an adventure into historic beauty. - Rome.... wow, the Colosseum by far was my favourite place, rises out of the city like a phoenix, even when inside you can imagine the historic battles. Trevi fountain is beautiful but ridiculously crowded, early hours of the morning best time. The Vatican, spanish steps... I could go on.. be vigilant and Rome will embrace your mind, body and soul... we will be going back..

Saturated tourism during autumn holidays. I was shocked by the tourist turnout in general. - Saturated tourist attendance during the autumn holidays. It shocked me if not so many people on these beautiful sites, the streets, the Navona and di Spagna squares crowded. The Trevis Fountain is inaccessible (a whole fence set up to access like cattle in front of the fountain and take a photo). I leave this opinion so that travelers avoid going to this beautiful capital on autumn vacation thinking that there is less crowd of tourists.

Terrible organization - we signed up for a tour through Viator and something called Vivicos we had just arrived in Rome and we’re tired from the overnight trip. Therefore, we booked a tour of the Colosseum for 3:45 PM and received a confirmation. However, for reasons that were never really explained, without our consent, the tour was moved up to 3 PM. We tried very hard to arrive at the Colosseum in time for the tour, even taking a taxi instead of the train at great expense to us. We arrived at the greeting place at 3:22 PM and we’re told that the tour had already left and that there was no way that we could join it in progress. In fact, the people who greeted us could not have been less sympathetic or nice. We never received any explanation as to why the tour had changed. All in all a terrible experience.

Collosium wants NO visitors - Absolutely terrible, they printed on my adult children tickets that they were children and so wouldn't let them in. They also printed my email as my first name which didn't match our documents which caused me problems since you now have to show drivers license etc to get in. Give them a hard pass!

Didn’t get the tour. Very disappointed - We had a voucher and had no idea that it wasn’t our ticket. We did not know that we had to redeem it for our tickets. We went to the colosseum early. We searched everywhere for our tour group, asked lots of people and to no avail. In the end I messaged the seller of the tour and said we were super ANGRY. We went and spent another 36 euros ($72 NZD) and got tickets. No tour guide. We are not happy that we were not emailed important details. Such as the meeting spot and that we didn’t actually have our tickets. The seller actually called us eventually and said the group had waited at the train station. We had been at that station and not seen any group. I told her that it was now too late. The group must be there somewhere but where? We wouldn’t know. We were already inside after buying new tickets. Very disappointed in the whole situation.

Disappointed at the Coliseum - We as a family of four were 5 minutes late and missed the tour altogether. Tour guide called and we were almost immediately disconnected. Was unable to reach her back. Contacted Trip Advisor and tour operator, we attempted to go with another group. Instead we were offered a tour for the following week which was after we’d be leaving Europe.
