Great experience - The place is fantastic, the visit to Via Appia Antica allows you to recharge away from the tumult of tourists from other sites of Rome. The rental went very well.

It's worth it - We arrived quite late due to traffic in Rome, but despite this, we had no problems. The boy is very kind. Exceptional experience. Impressive Appian Way. The children liked doing something different.

Unforgettable experience on the Appia Antica - 🌿🚴‍♀️ Today we had the opportunity to take an exciting bike tour of the Appia Antica, an experience that allowed us to immerse ourselves in the history and beauty of this unique route. We started our day picking up the bikes at Doctorbike’s headquarters in Via del Gesù, and then reached the bike point of our partner Bicycle Roma in Via Appia Antica and start this wonderful adventure. Special thanks to Alessio for making this experience possible and to our guide Elena for her professionalism and the passion with which she guided us along this extraordinary journey.Bicycle Rome We are excited and we hope to continue to cultivate our passion for cycling together, discovering new itineraries and hidden treasures of our territory!

An unforgettable Saturday in May - Rental service located in a strategic position to begin the tour of the Appia Antica. Online I had booked a city bike but at the time of delivery I was recommended the mountain bike for greater safety along the way: valuable advice! I really enjoyed this rental service! Undoubtedly recommend it! The added value is the bar next door, so before getting on the saddle you can indulge in a refreshing drink or coffee and then set off on an adventure!

Great activity to get out of the city and an amazing guide! - Emanuele was great, he took us to great sightseeing points and had deep knowledge of the history of the area. He was attentive to our needs including watching the weather for us and taking all the photos we desired. I really enjoyed hanging with him for the afternoon. Also the pizza spot he recommended near the Circo Massimo was the best we had in Rome!

The bike rental place was... - The bike rental place was easy to find. The e-bikes were in good shape. We enjoyed our bike ride and the ruins along the way. The stone road is tricky at times but we used the dirt path when possible. The map is ok but it is easy to miss turns.

Book e-bike Appian Way tour ex Rome city centre instead of independent - e-Bikes were fine, the chaps at the rental place were all good. We booked independent of a tour, and caught metro train, then bus to Appia. We also had dreadful time getting lost in the park. In hindsight - book a tour riding bikes from Rome city centre itself. Be a hang of a lot easier than what we did. City centre would only be 15mins tops from the Appian Way on E bikes.

Beware of “mental rest” days - We booked the excursion four months in advance. We flew in on an overnight flight from the US. We took a taxi to the location only to find they were closed for a mental break day. There was no one there at the café or the bike rental place. We arrived to a note on the door saying they were closed for a mental rest day. Neither place appeared to be open for the season, although it was June. There were no bikes to be seen behind the locked gate and the cafe tables and chairs were all piled in a corner. Mara at the contact number was helpful and attempted to make it right. She said she could get bikes there within the hour, but when I asked about the maps and itineraries I had read about she said there were none. The person delivering the bikes could make suggestions. She also said the catacombs would be closed from 12-2 for the next two hours. That was not mentioned at the time of booking. As we had a tour event back at the hotel to attend, Mara gave us a full refund and offered to refund our taxi ride back to the hotel. That was very nice. It was a long way to go to start our trip in such a disappointing way. We thought we had found the perfect jet lag activity. The place was nothing like the pictures of the “likely to sell out” location.
