Led by an expert local guide, you’ll explore majestic Aqueducts and historic landmarks including the San Callisto Catacombs, the Mausoleo di Cecilia Metella, the Quo Vadis monument, and the Regional Park of Appia Antica. To customise your experience, you can choose to visit the Catacomics on the Appia Antica, or the Roman Aqueducts. All you need is to make the right options during the booking process.

NOT your typical day in Rome - Luigi, our guide, made this trip so memorable. His wealth of knowledge and sense of adventure made turning each corner of our trip like opening the door to another world. We have been to the “tourist sites” in Rome previously and were seeking a unique experience. Traveling down the ancient Appian Way with such an experienced guide, showed us another side of Rome.

Best part of our Rome trip! - Our family enjoyed seeing so much. Our guide was kind and very knowledgeable. The bikes were great and plenty of water on a hot day. Ending at lunch was a beautiful setting and enjoyed talking with the other family. Small group of 7 so manageable. Wasn’t around other tour groups and wonderful to get away from the crowds and heat. Top adventure od our trip. Highly recommend!

Great family activity to escape the crowds of Rome - This trip was the highlight of our time in Rome. The drivers in Rome are actually quite considerate of cyclists so riding through Rome traffic was not scary. Emannuelle was a great guide- informative and friendly.

Immersion in antiquity - We absolutely enjoyed this tour with our amazing guide, Riccardo. He was so knowledgeable about the history of Rome and pointed out all the pieces of history along our travels that would have been easy to miss. Doing the appian way with a guide is a must in order to appreciate the antiquity that surrounds you. I could not recommend this experience highly enough. A stand out of our trip.

Fabulous tour- Amazing Aqueducts - Adriana (our bike guide) was fantastic!! We did the aqueducts version of the tour. Adriana was so knowledgeable about Roman history. She fielded all our questions and spoke perfect English. This was our favorite tour we took while in Rome. We were there late June so it was pretty warm- but it was still so worth it to take this tour.

Hard. Scary in traffic. Great perspective - Not for: 1. Younger than 10yr. 2. Out of shape. This was more intermediate biking than we expected. We cut our tour short and still biked 15miles. Hardest part was biking through the middle of Rome on the streets next to cars traveling 2x faster than us. My daughter (12yr) almost got hit by a bus because she was not sure if she should slow down or speed up. Scary for sure. Now the good! It was incredible to see the city from a different perspective. We got out in the countryside and saw the city from a distance. The catacombs tour was beautiful and historically relevant. The aqueducts were amazing to see up close as I’ve seen pics but never been to them. Great perspective over all!

Check on whether your group are strong bikers - We rode the e bikes through the Borghese gardens for an hour long tour which was great. That said we had booked the 3 hour tour of appian way but my wife is not a strong biker and they recommended the shorter safer tour. Recommend you check with them if your group has less strong bikers since they do ride thru crazy Roman street traffic

Not much of a guided tour - The bicycling was great fun and the Catacombs of St Callixtus were fantastic. Unfortunately, our guide for the bicycling did not provide much narration leaving us underwhelmed. We would have been better off renting bikes and seeing the catacombs on our own.
