Awesome ride - Amazing!! Perfect family afternoon activity with older kids. Saw and learned so much. The bike ride was a great ride- not a little bitty trip. Stopped at a local pizza joint for a slice to give us energy to push through at the end.

Active, Adventurous E-Mountain Biking - Fun exploration, saw amazing sights, and had a great guide! The tour is very fast paced and the road is extremely bumpy at times, and in other times you are riding at high speeds in traffic (to get to the parks) or unpaved dirt trails. This is more of a mountain biking experience. It’s not leisurely, but rather an adventure. Would recommend for people of at least moderate fitness who are very strong bike riders. If you want an adventure, book it!

Bring snacks - This tour is great — the biking is above average difficult though ! We did the private tour and it was worth the extra. Our guides Marco and Nazir were great - super friendly. We did not go to a market or have a picnic though. And where we stopped for lunch was pretty disappointing — the lady was rude and we had a piece of pizza approx the size of four triskets and a pop LOL.

Great guide for this tour! - Our guide was absolutely amazing, and the experience was well worth the time. Our only complaint was that the lunch that was described on Viator was not even close to what we got. What we got was a slice of pizza and a soda. But, again, the guide was great.

Visit differently! - Different and pleasant way to visit the countryside surrounding Rome and some sites without having to travel by motor vehicle. On the other hand, the gourmet picnic with wine was not there. Our snack was rather pizza and soft drink sitting in a parking lot near a pretty busy road. Quite disappointing!

A nice ride, but no picnic - The tour is an interesting way to see Rome and a nice break from the typical tourist activities. I booked the tour with my 13 year old daughter and it ended up being just the two of us in the group. Our guide was nice but we would have appreciated a little more context about the route of our ride, some of the terrain we would encounter and how to use the e-bikes. We're city biking folks, so were ok with the parts of the ride on heavily trafficked streets, but we were a little unprepared for the loose gravel and huge cobblestones. And, like others have mentioned, lunch in the parking lot at the pizza shop next to the highway wasn't the "picnic" we were expecting. For us the catacombs and the peaceful park area around the aquaducts were the highlights.

Super but picnic ride very disappointing - The exit was great! Great walk with Richard with very interesting explanations. The big downside is the gourmet picnic which was very disappointing! We ended up in a shopping center parking lot by the side of a road to eat pizzas (certainly excellent)

It was an adventure! - This tour was not at all what we planned on. Bikes were good, but the route was very bumpy and took us out on dirt trails in the middle of fields (that is called a park in Italy). Lunch was supposed to be gourmet, but we just stopped at a pizza joint. The two guides were very kind and waited on the group. It was pretty tough for non-biking people. I don’t think I would recommend it to anyone.

AVOID - Unorganized, dangerous and uncomfortable experience - This tour operator is unorganized, has bikes with very small hard seats and the guide we had today (Mike) who said he was "freelancing" was a horrible guide/leader sending us through busy streets with cars whizzing past only inches away. Then the "best" part - getting to spend 3 hours bumping down the Appian Way avoiding rocks and endless obstacles. This tour was terribly uncomfortable and dangerous. i do NOT reccomend this tour or this company.

Not what we paid for - Not what we were expecting or what we paid for. We use Viator a lot! This was not their style at all. Very disappointed . Something must have gone wrong .
