- Angels & Demons Tour - A unique and interesting way to go sightseeing in Rome, this ‘Angels and Demons’ tour is inspired by Dan Brown’s novel, but there is no requirement for having it read it or being a fan of Brown’s (although it may help!). It’s a memorable way to explore the city’s lovely squares, fountains, architecture and churches, made interesting with the twist of visiting lesser-known sites where pagan and Christian symbolism intertwine.
- Chiesa di Santa Maria del Popolo - Your experience visiting the real-life locations that inspired the novel begins at Piazza del Popolo in the incredible Santa Maria del Popolo church (Temporary closed due to renovations. A comprehensive explanation will be provided from the Basilica’s exterior). Here, your English-speaking guide will set the scene for your race against the clock through the eternal city. You’ll be invited to unlock centuries-old clues hidden in plain sight as you learn about Rome’s favorite sculptor: the inimitable Bernini. Your guide will play a key role in making your tour an unforgettable experience as you are led on a quest to separate fact from fiction and history from stories in the novel.
- St. Peter’s Square - You will be escorted through the city by a comfortable air-conditioned coach. You’ll head past the famous St. Peter’s Square at the Vatican, the epicenter of the action in the novel.
- Santa Maria della Vittoria - Next on, Santa Maria della Vittoria church where we’ll admire Bernini’s exquisite Ecstasy of St. Teresa sculpture (and scrutinize it for clues!). Your guide is an expert storyteller that will bring the novel to life for you, and will further enrich your experience by sharing the fascinating history behind each of the sites you will visit.
- Pantheon - Half way through the tour you will be offered a gelato or a coffee at one of Rome’s best café’s, Bar di Rienzo, located in front of the famous Pantheon, a welcome break as you continue to cover the city end to end in search of clues. (Please note: Admission to Pantheon is not included)
- Museo Nazionale di Castel Sant’Angelo - Your search for the secret meeting place of the Illuminati and the novels’ finale will culminate on the terrace of Castel Sant’Angelo. Originally built as a mausoleum for the emperor Hadrian, this impressive fortress served for many years as a safe-haven for Popes and is connected directly to the Vatican by a hidden passageway called “il passetto”, which you’ll be able to see from outside. Be enthralled as you listen to your guide expertly recount the dramatic climax of the novel as you admire the equally dramatic view of the city center as seen from Castel Sant’Angelo’s roof.

Great Tour and Guide - This was a wonderful tour. Rob is an amazing tour guide. He's extremely knowledgeable about Roman history and Dan Brown's Langdon Series. He took us on a highly entertaining journey through Rome's sites retracing Langdon's steps through the book. The motorcoach ride with it's comfy seats and AC was a treat given the stifling heat in Rome in June. Bravo to CityWonders for a fantastic tour.

Excellent tour - Excellent tour with an extremely knowledgeable guide. We saw several important sites in Rome and learned a great deal of the history in addition to details related to the book and movie. Well worth the time and cost.

A fun & interesting way to see Rome! - The tour was really interesting - a combination of Rome history and stories from the book! Our tour guide, Rob, was PHENOMENAL - I can’t say enough about how amazing he was. He had a depth of knowledge about both the book and Rome to make the entire experience very worthwhile.
Definitely encourage anyone whether you know much about the book to go on this tour!

A fantastic four hours, well spent. - A fabulous 4-hour tour delving into the Angels & Demons book balanced with history. Our guide, Rob, was fantastic at bringing the experience to life with just the right amount of humour and storytelling (and guide flag carrying! ;-) ) This is a great way to see the sights and also see the Castle. Highly recommend.

The best Viator tour guide ever! - I was 70% interested in this book, and our tour guide Rob brought the story to life! He mixed the book's storyline with history of Roman culture, Italian language, and Italian history.
Rob was engaged with every ember of the tour and prepared and enthusiastic for the tour. We were so impressed with his knowledge of the book vs the films vs the truth.
We loved this tour so much, we booked another tour he told us he was guiding later that day.
We are musicians who love history and would recommend this tour to all our family and friends.

Andreas and Dan Brown - the best ! - This tour was exceptional, the best of all! Andreas was outstanding, sharing info beyond Brown’s book. Unimpressed - Perhaps the "excursion/trip", would have been better if the ANGELS AND DEMONS tour had been more accurately described as being based on Dan Brown's novel/film! If you are not familiar with it I would save your money and time!
