Good, but not so easy. - It’s not a relaxing hike. It is short but technical and without climbing. Given the humidity, you will come out very dirty. Plan shoes and dirty clothes. Bring water! Otherwise I recommend the place is superb.

Breathtaking Hike to Tamarind Falls with Bonjour Mauritius - I had an unforgettable experience hiking to Tamarind Falls with Bonjour Mauritius, and I can't recommend it enough! My fantastic guide, Mr. Shane, and driver-guide, San, made this adventure truly special. Mr. Shane's expertise and passion for nature shone through as he led me through the lush forests and scenic trails. He ensured my safety and comfort throughout the hike, making sure we had plenty of water breaks and time to take in the breathtaking views and photos. San, my driver-guide, was equally impressive. His warm smile and friendly demeanour set the tone for a fantastic day. The Tamarind Falls themselves were spectacular. The hike was moderately challenging, I had an opportunity to swim under a magnificent waterfall, and the scenery and sense of accomplishment made it well worth the effort. I’m so grateful to Bonjour Mauritius, Mr. Shane, and San for creating an unforgettable experience. If you're looking for a unique and immersive adventure in Mauritius, look no further!

- Our hike was hands down one of the most memorable experiences of our trip to Mauritius. Our guide Sanjeev was very friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about sharing the natural beauty of his island. The waterfall trail itself was stunning—lush greenery, birdsong all around, and the kind of peaceful atmosphere. Sanjeev was incredibly patient, making sure everyone felt safe and comfortable, whether we were navigating a tricky path or stopping for photos. Highly recommend Sanjeev! +230 5815 4375‬ message him to book!

Start early to avoid the crowds - We were a bit surprised when we got 6.15am confirmed as a pick up time. When we reached the starting point of the hike, we were the only car. We did the hike along six of the seven falls and were the only group for quite some time. This was great to get some amazing pictures with no other tourists in the frame, we could swim, enjoy the pedicure fish and only at the very end we started to see a lot more tourist who took the short cut straight down to the 6th fall. Since we started early, we also avoided the scorching heat later in the day. I recommend to bring mosquito repellant, sunscreen, bathing clothes, towels and plenty of water. You may walk through some dense forest and later also through the sugar cane field, so you might want to consider long and light pants to avoid scratches.

magical hike with the Daryeau Adventure Guide! - An extraordinary hike! Despite the grey weather and a little rain the day went as if in a dream. We did the day (7 stunts) yet without being great athletes and it was great! Our Guide is someone really interesting and very kind 😊 who made us discover the virtues of plants and amazing places. He was very attentive to adapt to everyone’s pace and even offered to help us get great pictures of the beautiful landscapes. Sublime waterfalls where we could swim, that was the top. The typical Mauritian snacks prepared by his wife were really delicious. Another big thank you to them I recommend 100% go with your eyes closed!

7 waterfalls: precautions to take if it rains - Leaving at 7:30 am from Grand Bay, after an hour by car, we start the walk of the 7 waterfalls, in good spirits, by a discovery of the sugar cane fields, with a friendly young guide. The descent on the first waterfall set the tone: feel in earth soaked amid sharp rocks and slippery roots. The slope of the trail makes it necessary to catch up with the branches and trees that line this rainforest. The waterfalls follow one another, magnificent, after series of trips downhill and up steep. The rain having invited us in the middle of the 3 hour walk, the terrain seemed more and more dangerous. We came out of it with a dislocated shoulder for me and a compote back for my companion. On reflection, this walk on a soggy terrain seemed dangerous... Good hearing...

Well accompanied by Françoise from WES ADVENTURE, we took the time for exchanges, photos. - very pleasant walk even at the end of the dry season because the waterfalls are less spectacular. The elevation gain is quite accessible even to people who do not have a great hiking habit.
