Between ecological approach and wild beauty - Super walk with on the route a passage on a walkway in height with a guide that explains the approach to restoration of the woodworking forest. Beautiful and informative. The higher viewpoints reveal the coastline and the peaks in all their beauty. To do!

TO DO!!! - Must-see We made the visit by jeep because our 5 year old daughter could not because the elevation difference is important. Great visit , thank you to our guide of the day who was super educational with our daughter. Thank you for your work in safeguarding this extraordinary nature.

Great! Visit not to be missed under any circumstances! - An incredible welcome from the entrance. A magnificent hike with splendid views! We loved the guided walk in the ebony forest and we were lucky enough to see some endemic bird species. Not to mention the visit to the small museum, very complete on the history of Mauritius. And to think that it was a chance to go there, that was the favorite of our stay. Thank you to all the collaborators who work to preserve this place.

Nature's Beauty with Expert Guidance - I recently visited Ebony Forest, and it was an incredible experience! The natural beauty of the area was breathtaking, and the tour was well organised. Our guide, Damian, was fantastic friendly, easygoing, and impressively knowledgeable. He made the experience engaging and informative, sharing fascinating insights about the forest and its history. I highly recommend a visit to Ebony Forest, especially with Damian as your guide!

Wild hike away from mass tourism in an area committed to biodiversity - Thank you to the young women of the reception and to Lucie for their welcome and their explanations, Lucie having kindly made us visit the suspended walkway because the guide was absent. There are several options described on the site, mini guided tour of 30 min and free visit of the estate on the marked trails (860 rupees for two, option tested today and validated!) or 3 hours of bird watching or 3 hours of hiking with a guide, or if you do not want to walk there is still the option in 4x4 but you lose the calm and serenity of the hike. It is advisable to book for guided tours. We walked 4 hours and could see turtles, tangs (hedgeshogs) and many birds including those reintroduced to the reserve to protect them. Beautiful ebony trees are protected and they have replanted hundreds of thousands of endemic trees on the 50 hectares of Ebony Reserve. The 2 viewpoints are beautiful, the first is a glass terrace with sun loungers and a snack with views of the dreary and the island of benitiers. The second one is still 140m above, at the very top and accessible with ropes to climb some difficult passages (closed access in case of rain because dangerous), with 360 degree views of the island!

Beautiful natural reserve for hiking - If you want to hike in the beautiful nature of Mauritius between 1 and 4 hours is the right place. Different tours of different difficulty levels are possible alone, guided or with jeep. Whether as a family with children or as an experienced hiker - there is something for everyone. We did the longest tour to D on the map and hiked on the trails. Beautiful views (also of LeMorne) and almost alone! Upon entry, the reservation is preserved. The associated museum is also pretty and informative. Of the 14 giant turtles we saw 4; ) Definite recommendation!

Beautiful and easy hike - Beautiful and easy walk through the forest partially guided. Brigesh was our guide. He was really very good : he provided very interesting insights and showed us plants and animals we would not have seen without him. The view at the end of the walk is amazing.

Breathtaking Experience - Just wow. I have been there with family member, and we all had an amazing time there. The staff at the front desk very helpful and professional. The little museum provides us with some useful information about the history of island. We were told at the front desk that we have 14 tortoises in the nature, there. We came across there. Raphel and Franklin. It is a wonderful sight-seeing spot whereby you have the best view of the Le Morne Brabant mountain and a glance at the western coastline. Highly recommended for nature lovers.

Worth a trip - We spent about 2 hours here but could have spent more if we had wanted to walk all the way to the end of the trail. We didn’t see much wildlife unfortunately but we could hear birds etc in the trees they were just being camera shy. The facilities are new and clean and would recommend it for a safe “hike”.
