- La Vanille Nature Park - Spanning 3.5 hectares in the southern part of the island, this reserve, established in 1985, offers the chance to observe the largest turtle colony, featuring 1,000 turtles, including Domino, the oldest and one of the largest turtles worldwide.
The park also houses 2,000 Nile crocodiles, which can be seen at various stages of their development. Visitors will also encounter monkeys, bats, deer, geckos, wild boars, and carp, among other species within the reserve.
Renowned across the island, the park boasts an insectarium showcasing the work of Jacques Siedlecki, with a collection of 23,000 species of beetles, butterflies, and other insects in a variety of shapes and colors.
