Walking Riga! - In Riga, we visited the Freedom Monument, a symbol of Latvia’s independence since 1935, and learned how it remained standing through the Soviet era. At the Powder Tower, once part of the city’s medieval defenses, we heard about its transformation from a fortification to a gunpowder storage. The tour connected these landmarks to Riga’s long history of resilience.
