So much history in Hollywood Cemetery - Bob Olsen gave us 3 friends a tour. He was excellent. Very knowledgeable and interesting. He took us to all the highlights in the cemetery, explained the meaning of carvings on the tombstones. Highly recommend.

Fall trip to Hollywood Cemetery - The whole tour was memorable! Our Tour guide/Docent Kathleen was extremely knowledgeable and we were sad when it ended, we wanted to keep learning more about this beautiful Cemetery!

Beautiful grounds, Bob is a great guide! - Very comfortable way to tour. Coming from Norfolk you forget how hilly Richmond is! Bob was a great guide. Full of information, pictures to share. I highly recommend this tour. I've been putting it off for years, so glad I got the chance to experience this gorgeous cemetery.

Worth the money - 10/10 recommend this tour. Bob was a phenomenal guide. His knowledge of the cemetery and US history was impressive. He kept us engaged the entire time. We saw more than we would have trying to visit our own. Thanks Bob!

Tip Him Well. - I had the good fortune of riding solo with Bob Olsen who is probable to most knowledgeable person (alive) on Hollywood Cemetery. Don't even think of going without an experienced guide as there are tens of thousands people buried there and you will not know where to start. Bob has documented thousands of graves for "Find a Grave" and similar, he has intimate knowledge of Cemetery Art, Symbolism, Historical Culture and Values. He knows and shares the inside stories of family plots, various things you would not see or understand on your own ie: Fairy Rings, yet there it is. So don't even think about it. Bob's tour was the best part of my trip, he deserves a good tip when he's done.

Passionate Tour Guide & Fascinating Facts - Bob was an amazing and very knowledgeable tour guide. He spends a considerable amount of time in the cemetery working on projects but also throws in a lot of facsinating historical information as well. Highly recommend as you can tell how passionate Bob is.

For the morbidly curious... - Melissa was so knowledgeable and obviously enjoys giving these tours. We got to see famous resting spots, beautiful artistry in the stones and steel, a panoramic views of the James River, etc. We really loved this tour and would do it again as I’m sure there would be new things to see the second go around! The 90 minutes is just right.

Informative and Relaxing! - Comfortable vehicle with a tour guide who was friendly with a wealth of knowledge! Very pleased with all the information and talking points during the tour, but also impressed with his wealth of knowledge about Richmond itself and how it relates to Hollywood and the area's history as a whole. I would recommend this tour to anyone looking for some leisurely learning!
