Ignore the Brits whining below. - Seriously. What are the Brits complaining about. This is better than anything you get at Luton or Stanstead and par with London City. Clearly they never ate Air Canada lounge food. And yes its temporary but lighten up. Service is very good and there is beer. What more can you ask for?

Thank god the new Plaza lounge has opened! - Thank god the new Plaza lounge has opened, really wasn’t looking forward to that cattle pen they previously sectioned off in the terminal with the plastic cups and soggy sandwiches ! On first impressions, the new lounge is very inviting (Though a bit small)… not even busy and nearly all tables and seats were already taken ! There’s a couple of different chilled beers in the fridge to choose from, a small rack of self pour spirits with a ‘mixer’ machine close by for coke etc, and a choice of house red or white wine. food wise there seems to be a noodle bar (where they cook to order), a soup station with a single flavour on offer, 2-3 hot plates with a choice of a carb, a meat and a veg (Although the Turkey and mash in my picture looks a bit of a dogs dinner, it actually tasted really good!) and lastly a chilled desert cabinet with a few small cream cakes and sorbet’s. Staff all seem pleasant and the atmosphere is nice too (classic piano jazz playing at just the right volume through the lounge) If i could rate this place at a 3.5 star i would, however trip advisor doesn’t give that option (and unfortunately it isn’t good enough to warrant 4) overall it’s far better than a lot of other ‘3rd-party’ lounges that i’ve visited, but falls short of a dedicated airline lounge such as BA’s galleries lounges at heathrow, the choice of both food and drink is just too little to rate any higher, though sure as hell beats what other travellers have been offered through YVR for the last year !

One out of two - Espresso machine is permanently "out of order" so you can pour your own from a cannister by the soft drinks. non alcohol beers would be good. Its worth walking 5 minutes to the Premium Plaza in Domestic. proper coffee, very comfortable, good service and food, no complaints,Its excellent

Waste of money, don't bother to visit. - Paid £40 each and it was a waste of money. Really wanted a relaxing evening before flying. Newly refurbished so it was clean. Reception Staff very abrupt. Catering staff attentive and polite. Food choice was poor, all Asian/Chinese, no sandwiches, no salad and very small portions. Cakes and cookies were 1 inch squares. No cheese or bread. 4 toilets and no shower. Queues for everything. Kids running round sticking fingers in the food. Soft drinks from a fountain so no cans. Cafeteria style seats not very comfortable. The lounge area was closed and marked private. Decent choice of 2 red and 2 white wines (I think presecco but that may be an extra charge) and 2 beers. Usual spirits. (Some brands again extra charge) Small glasses! Very bright and noisy. Third visit to plaza but won't come back. The airport was empty so will eat there next time as there were no queues for food, toilets or screaming kids. Very disappointed.

Renovations are affecting experience significantly . - Was expecting to use shower facilities, but these are not available while renovations are ongoing. Don’t think this was clear when purchased (stop over for 40 hr travel commute at airport). Food was ok. Personnel very helpful. Seating pleasant given the temporary nature of the setup.

Shockingly poor lounge for paying business class guests! - After more than a year of delays to reopen, what a disappointment. Yes, nice new seating, but that's it. When you walk in you are pushed to pay an extra fee to access the real lounge. Otherwise you are shown into the "service station" lounge. Actually, gas stations have way more options for food and drink. I opted for the tacos. Mushroom great, chicken was processed shredded chicken goop from a can. Horrible. Salads just as limited. Coffee machines out of order. No bottled or canned soda, only tonic. Thought I'd try a dessert. Amazing selection of TWO little types of cake. Nothing else. Want a sandwich, nope, none. So as a traveller who shelled out for a business class ticket to India via London, I was horrified. Come on. Your food and beverage service was WAY better in the temporary lounge. It is disgusting that you try to squeeze an addition fee out of business class guests. Shame you are the only BA partner at YVR. YOU DO NOT STACK UP.

No No No - The lounge was packed and chaotic. There were long line ups for food and drink, only to be met with no plates or glasses, and once able to procure food, it was absolutely disgusting. The days of a quiet relaxing loving have been replaced by you lower-income guests (or acting like it) in what can only be described as a downgrade to your local mall food court. Incredibly disappointing…especially compared to the general seating in the terminal where there were plenty of seats and a lot of quiet.

DISGUSTING - Only thing worth visiting for is the booze. Food is disgusting but worst of all in the cleanliness. If you want to get sick stop by for a bug. Tables don’t get cleaned. Very occasionally cleared but never never never wiped down. DISGUSTING

Don’t - Don’t. No toilets, no shower. Just a temporary wall some canned drinks in paper cups and otherwise you are in the same terminal as everyone else. A rip off of $70!

Didn’t even go in - Disinterested staff, I’m rather happy to say, because while I was being ignored I could see that they were offering cold premade sandwiches and hard chairs. They keep promising their new location will open soon. Not soon enough.
