It has been called one of the greatest engineering feats of all time.Drive to Sundial Bridge. Made of glass, the Sundial Bridge crosses above the Sacramental River, and is absolutely a piece of work of art. Return to Bay Area in the evening and finish our pleasant and unforgettable Ring of Fire National Parks and Amtrak Coast Starlight Trip.

Shasta Dam - Shasta Dam, dwarfed only by Hoover and Grand Coulee dams when it was completed on the Sacramento River in 1945, is breathtaking not only for its great size, but for its majestic setting in the southern range of the Cascades. The 602 foot-high, concrete, curved gravity dam holds back an immense blue reservoir, Lake Shasta, which boasts a 365-mile shoreline nestled amid evergreen hills and the snow-covered volcanic peak of Mount Shasta.

Sundial Bridge - The Sundial Bridge at Turtle Bay is a world-famous pedestrian bridge and public art installation that crosses the Sacramento River in Redding and connects the north and south campuses of Turtle Bay Exploration Park. As the name suggests, the Sundial Bridge is, in fact, a working sundial and is one of the largest in the world. The sundial shadow traces such a large arc that it can record only four hours a day, from 11am - 3pm. It is not accurate in winter because the shadow is too far into the arboretum to be seen. The bridge celebrates human creativity and ingenuity, important themes of the 300 acre Turtle Bay Exploration Park. The steel, glass, and granite span evokes a sense of weightlessness and the translucent, non-skid decking provides for spectacular viewing at night. The bridge is also environmentally sensitive to its river setting.

San Francisco –Napa Valley –Humboldt Redwoods State Park –Arcata

San Francisco - Depart from San Francisco Bay Area this morning, and head to the most famous wine country – Napa Valley. Enjoy the exclusive wine tasting tour! Arrive at Humboldt Redwoods State Park in the afternoon and sightsee the tallest creature on the planet – Coastal Redwood, large enough for a car to go through the tunnel in its trunk! Arrive at Founders Grove and hike in the magnificent Forest of Giants! Stay overnight in Arcata.

Columbia River Gorge - The Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area protects the spectacular canyon where the Columbia River cuts through the Cascade mountains - with cliffs and overlooks of Washington to the north and Oregon’s mountains and waterfalls to the south. The Gorge is unique in its natural and cultural history, as well as its designation as a National Scenic Area.

Multnomah Falls - Arrived at Multnomah Falls in beautiful Oregon! It is part of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area which is a protected area that covers land in both Washington and Oregon. There are spectacular views where the river cuts through mountains and forests to create awesome cliffs, canyons, and waterfalls!

International Rose Test Garden - One of Portland’s nicknames is the City of Roses, and this town has long been an incubator for the scented beauties. Nearly a century ago, a farsighted citizen convinced the local government to set up a rose test garden during World War I to preserve the species of European roses that might be decimated by the bombings.

Portland –Olympia –Mt. Rainier National Park –Tacoma

Portland - Follow us and visit theWashington State Capitol Building in Olympia in the morning! In the afternonn, we will drive to Mt. Rainier National Park to have an in-depth tour. Mt. Rainier has endowed Seattle with elegance and beauty, a mountain out of fairytale and floating in the clouds. Everyone who has seen the beauty of it falls in love with it. Glaciers, waterfalls, lakes, rivers scatter throughout the rainforest. The rapids of streams and pouring waters echo through the valley!

Portland → Olympia → Washington State Capitol Building (30 mins) → Mt. Rainier National Park (Mandatory, 3.5 hours, include Paradise Visitor Center, Narada Falls, Rainier Mountain Scenic Spots) → Tacoma

Washington State Capitol Building - Home to the State Legislature, the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, and Treasurer for the state of Washington, this building is American Neoclassical in design. The State Supreme Court building and the Governor’s Mansion are also on this campus.

Mount Rainier - Mandatory

Mount Rainier is circled by the Wonderland Trail and is covered by several glaciers and snowfields totaling some 35 square miles. Carbon Glacier is the largest glacier by volume in the contiguous United States, while Emmons

Glacier is the largest glacier by area. About 1.8 million people visit Mount Rainier National Park each year. Mount Rainier is a popular peak for mountaineering with some 10,000 attempts per year with approximately 50% making it to the summit. Also, Mt. Rainier in WA is the tallest volcano of Mainland America, the 5th tallest mountain of the entire US territory. The mountain top is covered by snow all year round. When the snow melts, water flows down in large volume, which creates beautiful waterfalls and vast lakes, it also irrigates the forest land.

Seattle –Vancouver

Seattle - Today will be the end of our tour. In the morning, we will take a tour in Seattle and you are going to find the most amazing sights that this city has to offer! Seattle is a seaport city in Washington State! Many people believe it may be like the classical movie “Sleepless in Seattle;” but it is far from it! Explore a technological landmark known as the Space Needle! Then, we will back to Vancouver.

The Spheres - The Spheres are three spherical greenhouses located in Seattle! They aren’t just typical spheres; the spheres are architecturally very impressive!
