Dennis is the ICE-MAN! Great guide and fun tour. - Our guide Dennis was an absolute delight. I loved his enthusiasm and clear love of iceland. Despite poor conditions, we hiked through crazy winds with no views and he had a smile on his face the whole time. The hike itself was challenging and he was very accommodating to meeting the needs of a split group between ambitious and less ambitious physical condition folks. Pickup was prompt and he was a good driver with safety in mind. Dennis also went above and beyond and took us to the bridge between continents which was a major detour. It would’ve been awesome to have better views but he can’t control the weather! I wish I could hire him as a personal tour guide and driver for other sights and sounds of iceland. Very enjoyable experience.

Great 🤩 - I managed to do this hike following the instability of the area following the eruption of Grindavik. The authorities decide for our safety. A superb day very interesting with a passionate guide, super nice whose name begins with a T. Excursion realized on 21/06. Understanding nature, volcanoes how to watch them live and die when you are in Iceland is essential. Hiking is not easy to classify but if you are in good physical shape and you are rather athletic it should do so. There have been schedule changes with options available. And that day was really nice. Obviously you will not be facing red lava flows. This area is reserved for security and scientists. Only visible by helicopter. Our guide was really nice. In addition to his explanations, he drives and makes the taxi that takes morning/evening. A beautiful day of about ten hours. The return time was later than expected but during a hike not everyone has the same level of advance. And please be a minimum equipped level shoes it helps not bad. And the organizer recommends it on his Checklist. Reykjanes are to be made before blue lagoon but that is a story of taste. Small downside on the sales department who did not want to reimburse me for an activity ordered in error the same day. While I made 3 excusions with them. Very disappointing.

Unique Hike - Rare opportunity to hike this unique landscape. The hike has some steep inclines for flatlanders but is doable. It was a long and informative day. Recommend you pack a lunch and dress in layers. It was cold and rainy the day we hiked and I wish I had dressed warmer.

Thank you Alain! - Great excursion and hike around southwest Iceland. Kleifarvatn lake and the sulphur springs were otherworldly and worth seeing. Unfortunately the 2024 eruption was not visible from the viewing point due to fog but seeing the lava fields from the other recent eruptions was amazing. Alain was also a great guide, knowledgeable and friendly.

Amazing day! - What a great day! The volcanic areas are fascinating and our guide, Sara, was knowledgeable and fun. A few cautions: There is more uphill hiking than I expected. There are no stops that include food so pack snacks and water. Bathrooms are limited. It’s all fine, just good to be prepared.

Amazing - We did the volcano hike myself and my daughter, omg it was so good! Ragnor the bus driver, well weren't we in safe hands. The winds were so strong but had every confidence in Ragnor. Then Dave our Irish guide was amazing. He was informative, funny and full of character. The tour was amended slightly due to the winds but Dave always did everything he could to please the guests. The tour itself was amazing, with stunning views, disgusting smells, you get to see real steaming lava! It was just excellent from start to finish.

doable hike with interesting stop at the hot spring - Although there was still some snow, the path wasn't too slippery, but because of the rocks it is important to watch where you're stepping. I would recommend taking hiking boots. Karol, our guide, also provided us with crampons to put in our bags if we would need them at any point. Each member of the group wore a warning vest, which made it easy to recognize where everyone was. The views were good, but nothing too crazy or spectacular. The volcano looks similar to a mountain. The hike itself was doable, the beginning was quite steep, but the length of the steep part was not too long. Everyone of our group made it. On our way back we took a different route to see the lava fields, where there was still some steam. The stop at the hot springs was very fascinating. The sun started setting, which provided beautiful lights. Our guide Karol did do stops in between the hike and explained in the meantime what we could see. He also did a short extra stop which was very kind.

Climbing - Intense climb up a 300,00 ft mountain. Not for inexperienced climbers. You view an active volcano, which is miles away. Binoculars needed for that !! Then, after you go to another climb down onto an older lava field.

Although they are selling it, They are not operating this tour - Although they advertise and book this tour, it is not operative since roads are closed. We were notified just 24h earlier that the itinerary change and that we were “upgraded” to other tour, a hike to a valley which was a total disappointment . No other options or alternative tours were offered to us, when we requested (even offered to pay price difference).
