Yummy - Our food tour guide was Bonnie and we had a lovely time with her. The food was also amazing. My husband is a picky eater and I was surprised that he tried all the food and actually liked them… well except for the fermented shark. That’s a one and done thing 😊. We highly recommend this tour and if you’re able to, ask for Bonnie. You won’t get bored with her.

A Must Do Experience in Reykjavik - I cannot recommend the Reykjavik Food Walk highly enough! Our guide Bergur was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also very funny, keeping us entertained while sharing a fantastic mix of Icelandic food history and culture. He was also incredibly accommodating of dietary restrictions—my vegetarian brother and seafood-averse father both felt well taken care of, which made the experience even better for our whole group. The food itself was outstanding! We sampled a variety of dishes, from surf and turf to home-style Icelandic seafood, a traditional Icelandic hotdog, warming Icelandic lamb soup, and even the infamous fermented shark. The highlight for me was the rye bread ice cream—absolutely delicious! Beyond tasting amazing food, this tour gave us a deeper appreciation for Icelandic cuisine and traditions. If you’re visiting Reykjavik, this is an absolute must-do. Don’t hesitate—book this tour!

Eating Great Icelandic Food - We always take a food tour when we visit new places so we learn what's good to eat. Thor was our Guide. He was a Great Guy. He could have been a Viking. Started off with Crepes At a Bakery. They were Very Good. Then walked through Reykjavik with Thor pointing out sites of interest along the way. We stopped next at a restaurant called Messinn for Pan Fried Artic Char and Cod Mush . The Cod was like a Crab Cake but not Fried Crisp. All was Good but the CHAR was to die for! We went back a few days later to get more. Next it was off to the Hot Dog Stand. The Lamb Hot Dogs were Great. Had Natural Casings with a Crumbled Bacon and Carmalized Onion relish. Very Good! Then we were off for Lamb Stew and Fermented Shark. The Stew was Fantastic, couldn't tell it from Beef. The Shark was TERRIBLE, LOL! I think it's for the tourist. Finally we finished with Ice Cream up by the Church. Again the Ice Cream was Great but I'm not going to give it all away. Thanks Thor!

Food tour with Haddy! - We had an amazing time with HADDY on this food tour! He’s incredibly knowledgeable and funny too! It was wonderful learning from a local who born and raised in Reykjavík. The food was an awesome mix of street food and fancy restaurant food. Haddy really took care of our group and made sure we had the best time! Thank you for everything.

Katherine great tour guide. - Katherine was our food guide. She was terrific. We were a group of 6. It was a nice pace and the locations were all delicious. She helped us with vegetarian options. I’ve been on many food tours all over Europe and she made everything go so smoothly. Normally vegetarian options come out after everyone else if finished and it makes you feel less than. But not Katherine. Great job. Food was great. Our group went back for dinner to three of the restaurants. And we where 10 people by then.
