Great introduction to Iceland - We had a wonderful tour with Tomas. He was the best guide. All the stops were fantastic. Great chance to sample some famous Icelandic food at interesting restaurants and cafes. Loved the small group. It was comfortable at each stop. All the food choices were delicious. Just come hungry. We often take food tours when traveling and this was probably the best one. Great combo of walking eating and history. Highly recommend.

Classic Iceland delights and insights - Excellent food tour. Mimir was a great guide, 5 stops with a great variety of traditional Icelandic foods. Of course the classic fermented shark was on offer along with the hot dog with everything. Recommend highly!

Great food and good company - I joined a small group food tour with Thor as our foodie guide, and book it online before departing from Canada. Thor was very personal, knowledgeable and fun. We tried some interesting Icelandic specials, the staff was great at these restaurants, and as we walked the downtown centre of Reykjavik, he imparted some interesting facts and folklore. The group was friendly, enjoyable, and just an overall awesome experience. Highly.recommend it as a "must do activity", whether you're visiting Reykjavik for your first or fourth time. Cheers and here's to.foodies internationally!

A must tour in Reykjavik. - The food tour in Reykjavík is one not to be missed. The distance between each of the five restaurants was easy walking. There was a good variety in the choice of foods and the quality was excellent. Our guide Mimir was outstanding. His knowledge and description of the food for each restaurant was impressive. His willingness to answer our more general questions and also provide an insight into the culture and heritage of the Icelandic people was greatly appreciated.

A highlight of our trip! - We had such a great time on our food tour! The food was so good we went back to 2 of the locations later in our stay. Each restaurant has its own unique charm and it was a great way to taste many traditional Icelandic dishes in one go. The small group made it easy to talk to our guide, Dagur, who had lovely suggestions on things to do, and interesting stories and facts of Iceland. Dagur was so cheerful and enthusiastic, even with the rain and wind during the tour. I highly recommend anyone going to Reykjavik to do this early in your trip to 1.start off with a wonderful experience in such a wonderful place, but also, 2.then you have the chance to go back to those places if you like them and you get cool recommendations of things to do and places to check out from Dagur!

A Pescatarian Delight - Our food tour of 5 Reykjavik restaurants with Hilda was a terrific introduction to the city and its charms. Hilda was funny and knowledgeable. The tour is more than 3 hours and Hilda’s comments and the great food kept us going despite our jet lag. We are pescatarians who don’t eat shellfish. At every stop, food was waiting for us that we could eat. A memorable evening—the food tour was our dinner for the night!

Sharing food and drink with friends you just met - perfect! - Our tour guide was David and he was wonderful, very upbeat and very knowledgeable. The tour was well organized. Each stop on the tour was ready for our group (about 14 people). The food at each stop was excellent and we paid for our own drinks. It was also a great way to orient ourselves in Reykjavík and to take note of places to revisit. Some people on the tour were from countries across Europe so that added to the experience. David sent everyone a follow up email the next day with all the specifics of the restaurants we visited as well as additional recommendations. The food tour was a trip highlight, a fun shared adventure with people we just met!
