Great way to see Reykjavik - The sightseeing bus is a comfortable way to see Reykjavik and there was a bus stop conveniently located near my hotel. The drivers were friendly and helpful. Bus runs approximately every 45 minutes during the winter.

Good tour and a solid value - A nice tour, with a very clean bus and good sound system. The driver was very helpful if you needed more information. What more could you ask for?

As with most things in... - As with most things in Iceland it’s the cost of things to do. However it’s a good way of seeing the city and the in house information is very useful. The bus visit all the sites and helps with deciding where to go in the future. If you haven’t done any research where to go this bus is useful

Bus was clean. Covered... - Bus was clean. Covered the city well. Commentary was minimal. Lots of time with either just music or no commentary. Would have preferred more history and/or background information.

So disappointed - Far too expensive for what you get. Really disappointed with the whole trip. Far too long between buses. I would not advise anyone to use this bus.

WORST City Ever For Hop On Hop Off - 1. Dirty busses with litter everywhere like headphones, maps, plastic bags, etc; 2. Freezing cold on enclosed top deck because vents were blowing cold air, even after telling the rude driver; 3. Poor audio…had to change plugs to find a decent sound; 4. NEVER showed up on time and left us stranded in the freezing cold at the Perlan Museum when the 4:20pm bus never showed up and we had to wait until the 5:00 bus!!! Wish I’d read the reviews, as all the 1-star reviews are spot-on!! Management responses to poor reviews are insulting, as they’ve done nothing to fix things! It isn’t rocket science to run a scheduled bus service in a small city like Reykjavik!! Keep your schedules; drivers should be cleaning up trash while waiting at stops where they arrive early; if they arrive early, the should wait until the scheduled time to depart because tourists plan their activities around the published schedules! The Hop On Hop Off Franchise should revoke the license if the operator is not meeting their obligations to the customers!!

Worst of ANY City we’ve visited! - Dirty bus with trash strewn all over the seats and floor; driver got lost and had to go around the block to get back on track; but WORST OF ALL…..they left us stranded at the Perlan Museum in the freezing cold when the 4:20pm bus failed to show up!! I spent 40 minutes on the phone with Icelandia Customer Service who then gave me the number directly to Hop On Hop Off, who tried to tell me the bus arrived at 4:08pm, which is crap because we were out there waiting. Besides that, the schedule says 4:20pm and they shouldn’t be able to leave until then for passengers who want to board at that time. Late busses are to be expected due to traffic, but early busses need to wait for the scheduled time!! This was the WORST experience in any of the dozen+ cities that we’ve used Hop On Hop Off!! Never again after this experience!!!

Terrible Service; Dirty Bus; No-Show at Perlan Stop!! - Extremely COLD bus; driver got lost and had to circle the block twice; dirty bus with trash, headphones, maps and small plastic bags everywhere; worst of all, the 4:20pm bus at the Perlan Museum NEVER showed up and left us standing outside in freezing weather waiting for the 5:00pm bus!!!!! Terrible service…..worst in any country we’ve visited and their Customer Service couldn’t care less and made excuses!!

Don’t waste your money - Don’t waste your money. Every bus that we took, the audio was inoperable so learning about Reykjavík was impossible. We even had one driver drive away as we were walking towards the back of the bus, which I can’t imagine he didn’t see us so all in all, it wasn’t a worthwhile experience.
