The North Pole’s majestic spectacle, the Northern Lights or Aurora Borealis, is a result of the sun’s particles clashing with the high atmosphere. In Iceland, these breathtaking displays are visible during winter, from late August till April, taking on various shapes and colours, with light green and pink being most frequently observed.

Our dedicated Northern Lights crew meticulously evaluates the weather and aurora forecasts to identify the most promising location for observing the lights each night.

Bear in mind that sighting the lights is subject to nature’s whims and can’t be guaranteed.
