Additional Information

The North Pole’s majestic spectacle, the Northern Lights or Aurora Borealis, is a result of the sun’s particles clashing with the high atmosphere. In Iceland, these breathtaking displays are visible during winter, from late August till April, taking on various shapes and colours, with light green and pink being most frequently observed.

Best Northern Lights experience! - After having to reschedule due to visibility we went out last night. “Inga” was very informative and helpful. We were taken to a remote lay away from all city lights and watched Aurora dance before us. The guide was so helpful taking pictures and teaching people how to set the cameras to capture the images. We warmed up with Coca and a biscuit. It was super fun and a group of 10 so easy to get plenty of attention

Great northern lights tour - We had a wonderful tour with inga! They took us about an hour outside of town and we were lucky enough to witness the most beautiful lights!

Tough Night for the Aurora - Our guide Clement, aka Clemi, was our introduction to Iceland and its people. A fantastic guide who was a wonderful source of information about auroras and what is required to find them in Iceland’s cloudy skies. We searched in rain and clouds for a break. Finally the handle of the big dipper appeared and we saw stunning green auroras. Thank you Clemi for our conversations about Iceland and your love for the land. Highly recommend.

Amazing experience - Saw the northern lights! Kalli went to 3 different locations and each time the lights were better - got a corona and some pink too. We were back to our hotel by 12.30am - super happy!

Good company. - My tour guide was great. He explained all about the north lights and tried hard for us to see it. It was cloudy so didn’t get great views, but was still able to see some. Very hit or miss and just depends on the weather and atmosphere, so nothing we can control.

The best - It was so cute! We went with kalli the guide and he explained us about the auroras, Iceland and several other things. We made 2 short stops outside the city and finally a third stop where we were 40 min approx and there we saw a beautiful aurora show. Al At first the activity was not so high and then they looked great. We were served hot chocolate and cookies. Beautiful experience

Disappointing tour experience - They were 45+ minutes late picking us up with no communication ( I had to try two different ways to contact them). Plus, this was NOT a small group guided tour. Pretty much rode in silence to/from the ONE location for viewing. It was NOt a small group because this tour company had THREE other vans that brought people to the same small parking lot so you are trying to see and take pictures with 60 other people!!!
