Solo travel and very comfortable! - Great experience with beautiful photos!!! I traveled by myself so the pictures were great to have afterwards. Plenty of hot chocolate that kept us warm. I did slip on the ice so wear appropriate shoes!

Best northern lights tour - Hands-down, the best way to see the northern lights is with Aurora Viking. it’s a small group and the guides are super knowledgeable about where and how to see the lights and it’s a little bit like storm chasers except we’re chasing the northern lights until we find them. Once we did, we spent probably two hours outside, watching them taking photos and just really enjoying the experience. Tomas was excellent, they take professional photos for you as well, which are available the next day. All in all this was well worth it and it’s much easier to go in the small group.

Aurora + Sword + Broom = great success - Kobe was a great guide and photographer. Dress warm and plan to stay out for a while taking photos. The hot chocolate and ginger snaps were a nice touch. Also, take a photo with the swords and broom (only the real ones know.)

A Next-Level Northern Lights Experience – Worth Every Minute! - Aurora Viking is in a class of its own when it comes to Northern Lights tours. What sets this team apart is their technical precision and dedication to giving you the best possible chance at a life-changing viewing experience. Unlike more fixed-location tours that can leave you at the mercy of unpredictable weather, Aurora Viking brings a dynamic, data-driven approach. Emil, our guide, has led over 800 tours and clearly knows how to read the skies, the forecasts, and the terrain. Their communication was impeccable when the weather was uncertain and other tours cancelled. The team doesn’t just hope for the lights—they hunt for them. Their persistence, often with the driver updated in real time by, means you’re in the best hands. Many in our group were repeat customers, and several shared stories of other tours that stayed in one spot and ended up missing the show. Although no company can guarantee success, at Aurora Viking, they won’t rest until they’ve maximized your chances—and for us, that meant an unforgettable night under a blazing aurora sky. If you're serious about seeing the Northern Lights, skip the cookie-cutter tours and go with Aurora Viking. Their agility, experience, and commitment make all the difference.

Choose This Tour For Northern Lights! - Catching the Norther Lights in March isn't as easy as you think. Kobe was phenomenal at explaining the conditions, where we were going and why, and also taking great photos! Although it was hard to see the lights with the naked eye, Kobe got us some great photos. The viking gear for photos was a fun addition and the hot chocolate was perfect to warm you up! We utilized the unlimited retries since our first try it was cloudy the whole time. The 2nd time worked out!

For best results choose a company with an expert photographer. Emil was GREAT! - One of our goals in visiting Iceland was to see Northern Lights. Emil was our guide. He was great at providing us information about Iceland and the Northern lights. The night we went out it was cloudy. Emil kept telling us there were no guarantees, but he was hopeful that we'd find a break in the clouds that coincided with some Aurora activity. We drove around and made several stops with nothing to see. At about the 2 hour mark Emil got very excited. When he found a safe place to park we all ran out like little kids screaming for joy at the fabulous Aurora we were seeing with our naked eye. Emil set up to take photos of us in pairs as well as the entire group. He was expertly framing the photos and kept moving his position to get better angles. The results were fabuous! He had the photos posted by the next day. Thank you Emil for making this trip to Iceland so memorable!

Without peer! - This was one of the best tours I have taken anywhere in the world. Our guide and assistant, Tomas and Valeria, went absolutely above and beyond to provide an amazing experience for everyone in the group. I expected that we might end up in a location where a lot of tours were located, but we were the only ones there and the views were unbelievable. Having professional photos was a big plus, as it allowed us to really be in the moment and not worry about getting pictures. I'll admit that when booking I thought we probably wouldn't enjoy the Viking gear--I was wrong! Our guides made it a fun diversion while waiting for the lights to really ramp up. I know that not all tours chasing the lights are successful, but I'd take my chances with Aurora Viking again and again. In addition to finding the lights, they took care of all the little details that take this tour a step above the others.
