- Reykjanes Peninsula - Leaving the capital behind, you’ll venture into the volcanic terrains of the Reykjanes Peninsula. This peninsula lies along the Mid-Atlantic Rift, separating the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates. Despite its location between two tectonic plates, no volcanic eruptions were recorded there for 800 years. However, the Fagradalsfjall volcano’s eruption in March 2021 changed everything. The six-month-long eruption attracted hundreds of tourists with its spectacular display of fountaining red-hot lava.
- Fagradalsfjall Volcano Eruptions: 2023, 2022, 2021 - Set out on an extraordinary adventure: witness a live volcanic eruption and flowing magma! Our expert guide will pick you up from Reykjavik, and together, you’ll embark on a once-in-a-lifetime journey. The trek to the Litli Hrutur Active Volcano requires physical stamina, covering up to 10 kilometers each way. However, the experience is immensely rewarding, offering stunning views of expansive lava fields and the captivating sight of an active eruption. Upon arrival, you’ll witness the beautiful formation of these lava fields and the mesmerizing display of fresh lava spewing and flowing.
- Seltún Geothermal Area - Seltùn (Geothermal site in Krysuvik) - You don’t have to venture far from Reykjavik to encounter vibrant geothermal sites, and Seltún is one of them. Visiting Seltún, like all geothermal locations in Iceland, feels like stepping into another world. Seltún features both bubbling mud pools and boiling hot springs.
- Kleifarvatn Lake - Kleifarvatn is the largest lake on the Reykjanes Peninsula. This area is renowned for its geothermal and geological activities, with the landscape covered in a thick layer of lava. We’ll enjoy a brief yet stunning drive by the lake.

Awesome Trip - Picked up on time; Very friendly and informative guide; Biggest Plus -> we didn’t get rushed like on other Tours and could take as much time for looking around as we wanted; Thumbs up for this one!

Entertaining host. Amazing views. - Johannes was an entertaining guide to three beautiful locations. The hike up the volcano and onto the lava field is one that will long be in my memory.

Very friendly guide and beautiful sightseeing - Johannes was informative during the ride, and was very polite and a nice guy to talk to during the hike 😊
The tour was well planned and fit the description. It was a good walk without being too hard or long, and it was a beautiful experience walking around on the lava flow from the 2021 eruption.

Fun Volcano and Lava Field Experience - We were able to walk on the lava fields and explore a hot boiling water feature while on this tour. We also saw a beautiful lake with no boats that was beautiful in the morning.

Stunning views and no crowds! - Although the original hike was altered for road closures and volcano activity predictions, our guide, Johannes, provided an alternate hike with stunning views and the volcano fields. Hw found the perfect natural lava bench with warm gas to eat our snacks. He was very knowledgeable and personable. We only saw two other small groups! I would highly recommend Johannes and this tour.

Tour canceled with no notice. Driver just didn’t show up. BOOK A DIFFERENT TOUR. - DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR! Read the other reviews. The transport did not turn up, and after 6 of us had waited at the pickup point for an hour, I called the tour operator, only to be told that the driver was sick, then that the bus needed repairs. This appears to be a 1 man operation, who frequently cancels tours with little or no notice. It was our last full day in Iceland, so there was no chance to book an alternative tour. Getting a refund does not make up for missing out on a tour that was supposed to be the highlight of the visit to Iceland. There are several alternative, similar tours, so choose one of those instead.

Never show - We arrived at the pick up location in advanced we waited there until an hairy has passed after the estimated departure time. No one showed up to pick us up.

Never came - left us waiting at the bus stop for over an hour - NEVER SHOWED UP…
So firstly… Read the reviews on here and seen that they hadn’t turned up for a couple of people, but I had also seen a lot of people had had a great day with this company, so I went with the majority and booked, as I had seen they had not turned up to a couple of tours, I thought if I send them a message the evening beforehand it would prompt them that they had a tour the next day… no reply…. The next day waited at the busy stop for over an hour…… no one ever showed up, at this point I had rang them, phoned Viator, who tried to contact them several times via phone and email and then I even messaged and rang on Facebook…. Nothing!
This was on my partners 40th birthday and this was suppose to be a relaxing day!
I had to end up booking the private tour with a geologist! Which I would highly recommend, especially over this crook

Shame - We tried to contact the organizers but we never got any response from them. They leave time to go unanswered so that free cancellation is no longer possible. A shame and a loss of money.

You canceled at 1:30 am the morning of. Lucky I didn't walk to the bus terminal. Little notice. Bus driver er with Covid. - The tour was canceled at 1:30 am the morning of the tour as a bus driver had Covid. I did not do the tour. So very disappointed in the short notice and lack of available drivers to cover for a sick one. This was supposed to be my first tour and it was canceled. Very upset.
