Loved it! - The tour was fantastic! Elisa was a fabulous guide- she knows so much of the geology and history of Iceland. She is highly engaging and told great stories as we drove. She was also very helpful and went above and beyond to help people on the tour with travel plans. The ice caves are absolutely worth the drive over the lave fields and the itinerary of stopping at the waterfalls and Vik really helps break up the drive. This is my second time to Iceland and second time using Arctic Adventures. I can’t wait to come back for a third.

Jaw-dropping day - This tour was amazing, we were lucky the sun appeared on the sky during the day. It did a half of magic, but the second half was thank to our guide Kristjanfran. He was funny, he knew many stories, had a great playlist of Icelandic music. He is a jewellery between tour guides. He loves Iceland very much. The second guide who actually took us to the cave was also brilliant. Proper mountaineer, he knows everything about his glacier. And the actual caves and the whole glacier was stunning, jaw-dropping experience. You must do it when you are on Iceland in winter. Here you understand why we need to protect our nature at all cost.

Highly Recommend!! - What an incredible experience!! My cousin and I had a great time during out excursion! I thought that we were only going to the glacier to see the ice cave and was pleasantly surprised to visit 2 waterfalls and the black sand beach in Vik! We felt very safe and in good hands with our tour guides--Styrmir was awesome and super fun! We learned a lot about the area and really enjoyed ourselves. The trip did go over 2 hours which made us miss the bus ride back to the KEF airport which ended up being very costly, but we understand that you cannot control the weather and certain circumstances. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for something fun to do and get the best bang for your buck! You get to see so much on this tour and to top it off, we got to see the Aurora Borealis!!

Loved my experience at Katla! - Our tour involved two different people, Vjeran and an older man who actually took us on the glacier hike. Both were incredible! Super kind, friendly, funny, patient and easy to ask questions. The tour itself wasn't as stressful as I expected, as someone who is scared of heights and expected a lot of physical activity. Just very cold. We even saw a fox on our hike!

Awesome Katla Ice Cave visit, great fun ride there in the Super Jeep - Went on the Katla cave hike only, and it was great! Siggy was absolutely hilarious and crushed the tour. Appreciate him! There are some collapsed sections that are no longer able to be walked through unfortunately so the tour probably isn't as cool as it used to be, but that's the nature of an ever changing glacial landscape. It looked like an alien planet.

Not worth the money - The tour guide Christian was amazing. However this was not worth the money. Though the waterfalls were amazing .. the actual hike or tour on the “ice cave” was about 30 mins and it was crowded and there was only one “real” cave. I understand that the glaciers form on their own and may not form a cave per se but not worth the money!!!!

DON'T BOOK WITH ARCTIC ADVENTURES - I'll just post the facts and try to keep "feelings" out of this review. It's long, but read it. ***DO NOT BOOK WITH ARCTIC ADVENTURES*** 1. Arctic Adventures left my family(and the 4 other groups at pick up spots AFTER us) in freezing conditions for over AN HOUR. 8am in Iceland in December may as well be 4am. It was cold, windy, and snowing. No text, no email, no phone call to let us know they were running 45min plus behind. I called customer service three time only to be told "the shuttle is one stop away" or "they will be there in 5-10mins". This was a bad omen of things to come. 2. I'd tell you the name of our guide, but I can't since she barely spoke. And when she did, no one could hear her. 3. You'd think the heat on the shuttle would work. You'd be wrong. 4. After several other pick ups and nary a word about being late, we headed off on a two plus hour drive. Freezing cold, with zero information we looked forward to a cool experience. 5. Almost three hours of driving, we stopped for a bio-break and to pick up lunch as none is provided. As we boarded the shuttle, the guide told us "We have to go back to Reykjavik. The Super Jeeps cannot wait for us". With that she turned the bus around and started to head back. I get that this was not her choice, but empathy, sympathy and maybe some human kindness would have helped- let alone more of an explanation. 5a. "We can stop for 15 mins at a waterfall onthe way back if you'd like". We did. It was nice. 6. So, we spent ~6hours on a shuttle bus with no heat, a mute guide and no destination. 7. Arctic Adventures canceled the tour, yet I had to make 4 calls to get a refund. Each time being told it would take three days. It took over three weeks! Feelings: Arctic Adventures WASTED my day. They were TWO HOURS late leaving Reykjavik(after our last pick up). They KNEW the Super Jeeps have a schedule to keep. They KNEW weather conditions were not ideal. But, they chose to go ahead and make the drive. It would have sucked to have the tour canceled before it even started, but at least at 10am I could plan some other activities in town. I'll never forget my tour with Arctic Adventures, and I'll be all too happy to share my experience. Now enjoy the autoresponse from AA "we're so sorry to hear about your experience and would love to find out more..."
