Brilliant day with Sam as our tour guide - Sam, our tour guide, gave us an amazing day and an unforgettable experience. He was brilliant—extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and passionate about what he does. His enthusiasm, insight, attention to detail, and willingness to go out of his way truly elevated the tour and made it a highlight of our trip.

Golden Circle - We visited Reykjavik on a cruise and my son is a wheelchair user so booking a private tour with a large vehicle works best for us. Sam, our guide was excellent, very informative told us lots about the landscape, the history and the various places we visited. Even made a few extra photo stops for us ! The whole trip was very wheelchair accessible apart from the waterfall which is fine. We went to the blue lagoon to & the staff there were really helpful. They only have one designated changing room for wheelchair users and we had to wait 35 minutes for 2 ladies to come out who didn’t need the additional space for a wheelchair like we did which was quite frustrating as it really limited our time in the lagoon. The also have a specialist chair that you use to go into the lagoon - you enter via a ramp to the side. Would definitely recommend this trip with Sam, we packed loads into the day and feel like we’ve seen a wide variety of areas of Reykjavik.

Great tour by Sultan! - Sultan was a great guide! The weather conditions were not good for seeing all of the sites, so Sultan quickly came up with a new game plan that fit our family’s needs perfectly. Considering our age range was from 22 - 94, his knowledge, flexibility and desire to provide an excellent tour for us was much appreciated!

Iceland Paradise Found! - Search No further! Iceland Paradise Tours is the Best! Sultan provided us with a well organized totally interesting tour of the Golden Circle. He was a most well informed and interesting guide of everything old and new. He successfully planned each of the breath taking stops for maximum time to enjoy and take in the splendor, while making sure we saw as much possible in a single day. He even assisted us in obtaining tickets for our request to experience the Sky Spa at the conclusion of Day 1. All said, it was a wonderful experience. We Highly recommend !

Kind guide but not educational - The good: The guide picked us up from the airport and was very friendly. We had booked 2 tours for 2 days, but he pointed out the second day would have to start very early for us to make our cruise late on day 2. He volunteered to do both tours on day 1, even though it would be a very long day for him and us both. It was good advice and we appreciated his willingness to do it. He helped park close to limit walking and took care that we had food and bathroom stops at good intervals. He made an extra stop so we could take photos of the erupting volcano that was going when we visited. The bad: The guide provided very little educational info about Iceland and the stops, and some of what he did say was odd. We've visited 10 countries this year with our tweens and paid for private tours in all of them because travel is part of our homeschooling and the education component is important for us. This was the least educational guide we've had anywhere in the world. A guide should be able to add value to each stop beyond something simple like, "This is national park where the parliament met when Iceland became a new country." That's the gist of what he said at each stop, which was obvious from the sign at each place. One of the few facts he did share was so weird even my 11 year old did not believe it - he told us Iceland was being split in 2 with half being given to US to own and half being given to Europe. On a few occasions, we have rented a driver (vs a guide) to travel in a spot where I had researched the area in advance. The guide we had was more like that - a kind driver taking us from place to place rather than a guide trained to teach us about the places we were visiting. Given the price for 2 days of private touring was very high, it didn't feel like we got the value we expected for a private tour. I feel bad saying this because the guide was very nice and the places we went were beautiful, but for the price, it was a disappointing tour from an educational perspective. Which was the point for us. Based on this experience, when we return, I will select another company.

- I really want to give an honest not emotional review here. Just to let everyone know we have been to over 130 countries and used dozens of tour companies and guides. I can honestly say this may be the only bad review I have ever left. We had 3 days with company and I'll have to say that the first 2 were great no problem as our guide was a gentleman named Sam a great driver, informative and kind, a good guide. HOWEVER, the last day was a disaster. It started when we got off the ship and were not meet by our guide (Sultan) We called and he was hours away expecting to meet us in another city. I have double checked our correspondence and I did specify where to meet. He did call us a cab so we meet him half way, which was fine a misunderstanding perhaps? It happens, however it gets worse. First off his demeanor the entire time was horrible he very rarely spoke gave little to no information, for the owner of the company his attitude was extremely unprofessional, like he absolutely did not want to be there. Worse he was a dangerous very aggressive driver often passing in marginally safe places. He also hit several sheep without stopping and once slammed on his brakes so hard several of us flew into the seats ahead of us. I got a big scrap on my head and others face planted as well. He not only did not apologize he did not even ask if everyone was ok. He actually did not even say one word??? I see others had a very different experience with him but this was ours.

Deceiving: NOT reliable and would NOT RECOMMEND - Guide was almost 2 hours late. Even with a confirmation, Tour operator indicated there was a mix up because they were too busy. Reservation was confirmed for 8 ppl, but driver showed up in a mini van for 7ppl. We had to squeeze 2ppl in the front passenger seat. Not only was the 8 hour day tour uncomfortable, we didn't see everything on the itinerary because of the 1 hour 45 min delay. Driver didn't want to be blamed and told us that he was told to drop another family off at the airport in the morning and that's why he was late. This is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and UNACCEPTABLE. We traveled a long way to Iceland for a once in a lifetime trip and this experience ruined our experience. The tour cost over $1,436 and we were crammed in a small van, didn't see what we were supposed to and was lied to about the delay in the morning. There was no offer to compensate for the lost of time. Very disappointed. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.
