- Bruarfoss Waterfall - One of the iconic Icelandic waterfalls astonishes with its brilliantly blue water. Named “bridge waterfall” after a stone archway that used to cross the Brúará River.
- Gullfoss Waterfall - One of the most powerful and iconic waterfalls in Iceland, “Golden Falls” is located in southwest Iceland, in the canyon of the Hvítá river. The river flows southward, and about a kilometre above the falls it turns sharply to the west and flows down into a wide curved three-step “staircase” and then abruptly plunges in two stages, creating a stunning view.
The waterfall is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Iceland and appears briefly in a sub-plot of the TV series Vikings, and one character kills herself by diving into it.
- Geysir - We visit the world-famous hot spring that lent its name to all other geysers. Enjoy an astonishing display of nature’s untamed forces watching the spontaneous outbursts of hot water columns among endless clouds of steam.
- Kerid Crater - On our way back to Reykjavik we stop by the volcanic crater lake in the Grímsnes area (South Iceland). A unique combination of milky blue-green water and a backdrop of deep black and red slopes makes Kerid one of the most visually stunning geological wonders in Iceland.
- Fridheimar - A nice stop at a family-run restaurant on a tomato farm, where you’ll taste THE BEST tomato soup in the world.
