Golden Circle Tour with Sky Lagoon - Karen is a great tour guide! We loved our day spent around the golden circle. I would highly recommend the trip. The Sky Lagoon was so relaxing and just what we needed! Just a note….the tour ends but the Sky Lagoon is only a few miles away from the pick up spots. The driver was great unfortunately I cannot recall his name as it was Icelandic and not familiar to an American.

Fantastic experience! - We took the tour to visit the Golden circle and it was a wonderful experience. applause certainly goes to Darren, our guide and Helgi, the driver: nice, friendly and prepared. Absolutely recommended. We also booked the transfer to the airport, once we arrived we realized we had left some luggage at the hotel and they went out of their way to retrieve it and deliver it to us at the airport with the next shuttle. Impeccable service

A Great Way to See Iceland - We had a great time on this tour, however the paperwork received stated 7 hours for this, but did not realise this did not include Sky Lagoon, we were out for 12 hours in total, it was worth it but take plenty of supplies. We were taken on the tour by Darren and Helgi. Darren was very informative and entertaining throughout and we saw some great sights, he certainly knew his stuff. The Sky Lagoon was beautiful and relaxing, we had the 7 step ritual included in our package, but only found where to go for this by change and thought it probably wasn't worth the money as felt quite rushed through. Overall I would thoroughly recommend the tour and the lagoon, but think twice about doing the 7 step ritual.

Great tour and great operators - Darren and Helgi were both lovely, greeting us warmly every time we got on the bus. Darren had very good info, and was a great personality to have taking our tour

Review is of company, not specific tours - Our travel agent booked us with three tours, plus airport transfers, with Gray Line. The airport transfers were fine: large bus from airport to a bus depot, then transfer to a smaller bus to stops within Reykjavik. The day before our first tour, we got a call from our travel agent advising that the Sky Lagoon add on for our Golden Circle tour was overbooked; we were given the options of rescheduling, canceling, or doing the tour without the add-on, which is what we picked. Our documents showed pickup for all three tours would be at bus stop 6, but it turns out they were at bus stop 14 (only a few blocks away). We were not able to get anyone from Gray Line on the phone when we were not picked up for our first tour: one number only rang and rang, and the other went to a phone tree, where nobody picked up the phone. We ended up calling our travel agent, who booked us on the same tour later that day. (The tour itself was good, good tour guide, but large full bus... Pickup in the city was a smaller bus that took us to the bus depot to board the larger bus. I would book with a company that does smaller groups if I were to go again.) Anyway, we knew to go to stop 14 for our 2nd tour, and that tour was also good, good tour guide, but large, full bus. Our third tour was a whale watching tour booked through Gray Lines, but operated by Elding. No bus came to stop 14, and again we had trouble getting Gray Lines on the phone, so we ran to the harbor and found Elding, only to find that the trip had been canceled due to high wind, and Gray Line had not provided a way to get in touch with us to advise us. Elding also had trouble getting anyone from Gray Line on the phone. Our travel agent is still working to get us our refund for the lagoon (which we were sad to have missed out on); he says the refund for the whale watching (also sad to have missed, but weather cannot be helped) will occur this week. There are so many other tour operators, with smaller buses, in Iceland (we know, because we saw their buses come and go while we waited for ours); I would choose one of them.

A scam - Unfortunately, our trip was canceled without notice. We paid in full, showed up on time and that was it. Viator never contacted us to explain the tour was canceled. We’ve requested a refund and have waited patiently for a reply for 10 business days. No response. We paid around $600 for that tour. I would recommend you book with another agency.

Terrible company- aboid - Dreadful company who regularly don't collect passengers but keep the money, Their pickup times are unclear and drivers arrive at the stop, open the bus doors and if you're not there immediately, getting on within seconds. they just go. It happened to us and i saw it happen to 5 other bookings on one morning while on a bus. Shocking.

Great experience. But AVOID ‘takes no responsibility Viator’ - Sky lagoon was fantastic! Sadly the whole thing was shadowed by Viator not making the booking, meaning we had to pay twice. Viator took no responsibility and refused to give our money back…….book directly with sky lagoon don’t book via Viator.
