Such a fabulous tour with Lalli! - Had a fantastic time on the Funky History Walking Tour with Lalli! He was a fabulous guide, full of great Icelandic history and a hilarious storyteller. Our group was only 3, so we got a personalized tour and had a really fun afternoon. Lalli took us through historic Reykjavik and showed us all the major buildings and squares and told us lots of history and fun facts about Iceland. Tour ended with a fun stop to get hot dogs the Icelandic way, which were delicious! Highly recommend, would absolutely do again!

History you won’t learn anywhere else! - Lalli was an amazing tour guide who was extremely knowledgeable and really funny! I traveled solo and only had two other people on the tour, so it was a really personalized experience. We learned so much about the history of Reykjavik and Iceland and really felt like we had a local friend. He always made sure to find breaks and places to sit along the way and stopped at interesting sights. The hot dog at the end was delicious! Highly recommend!!

Terrific walking tour with Lalli - Lalli led us on a wonderful Funky Iceland History Tour covering Icelandic history from settlement in 870 to today (2024) Starting at the large church, the Hallgrimskirkja, he told the story of the Vikings history, and then we led us on a tour through Reykjavik, while he covered the next 1,000 years of Icelandic history (of which there is a lot) right up until today, because just before the end of the tour, we were able to see Iceland's new president be inaugurated (serendipitous, not part of every tour!) He was informative and also funny. The tour ends with getting the famous Icelandic hot dog. We've done walking tours in many cities, but Lalli's tour was definitely the best walking tour we've ever been on.

Support a small business! - Former nurse turned small business owner, Lalli is a natural story teller and a native Icelander. I highly recommend supporting a small business and booking a tour. It’s full of history, tales of the past, art and “getting your steps in”. Plus a hotdog at Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur is included in the price. Thank you for the wonderful history lesson and tips for saving money in Iceland, Lalli! I’ll cherish these memories forever!

Funky Iceland is Time Well-Spent - My sister and I booked the walking tour for our first morning in Reykjavik as a way to get a lay of the land and learn some history. And this tour delivered! The experience was intimate as we were a small group of 5 and throughout the tour our guide, Lalli, was present to each of us. We were all North Americans, and his English was excellent! His delivery was professional, personal and friendly. He made eye contact when telling his tales, included humour and made use of cliff-hangers and plot teasers as tools of engagement. The tour revolved around 5 main sites of interest from art to politics, and at each landmark there was a deeper revealing of Iceland's sordid history culminating in a nod to more recent events shaping present day Iceland. The tour also included a lunch stop at the iconic hot dog stand, included in the price of the tour. At the end of the tour, Lalli gave us a handful of practical tips on how to stretch our money in a very expensive Iceland which was appreciated. With the little time we had in Reykjavik, this was an extremely well-spent 2.5 hours. Highly recommended.

Lalli - Great Storyteller and energy! - Lalli offers one-of-a-kind tours! After landing from the US, we went right to the tour, even with two kids we made it happen! It was a great introduction to not only Reykjavík, but the history of Iceland overall, going to back to pre-Vikings. I would definitely recommend this to friends and family. Thank you, Lalli!
