• Geysir - Geysir was the first geyser described in print and gave its name to all other geysers around the world. Strokkur is an active geyser that erupts every 5-10 minutes, shooting boiling water up to 20-40 meters into the air.

The area is full of bubbling hot springs, mud pots, and fumaroles, giving visitors a close-up view of geothermal activity.

• Gullfoss Waterfall - Gullfoss, meaning “Golden Falls,” is one of Iceland’s most iconic waterfalls. The Hvítá river cascades down in two stages into a deep canyon, creating a powerful and stunning sight.

There are several viewing platforms where you can see the waterfall from different angles, and on sunny days, you might even catch a rainbow arching over the falls.

• Thingvellir National Park - Þingvellir (Thingvellir) is the site of the world’s first parliament, the Alþingi, established in 930 AD. The park is steeped in Icelandic history and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The park lies in a rift valley where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. You can walk between the two continents in the Almannagjá gorge.

• Kerid Crater - Kerið is a well-preserved example of a volcanic crater lake and provides valuable insights into Iceland’s volcanic activity and geological history. It is one of the few caldera craters in Iceland that has a visible lake.
