Worth it! Bring waterproof jacket and pants. - 2 beautiful waterfalls, the most amazing beach I've ever seen, and a walk on a glacier, what's not to love?! If you go at the right time of the year you will see puffins nesting in the rocks above the beach! We were blessed that they were still there August 22nd - they are due to leave any day now. They were flying around overhead! Pro-tip: they want you to have hiking boots with ankle support for the glacier hike, so pack accordingly. Also, BRING WATERPROOF JACKET AND PANTS. Don't forget the pants! Even if you are blessed with dry weather, you will want to go behind the big waterfall and you will get soaked if you aren't prepared. It's 1.5 hrs from Reykjavik to the truck stop bathroom break. You can get food there to snack on throughout the day. After the last stop we did 2 hrs straight back to Reykjavik. But the bus has WIFI, which was nice. Sometimes a tour has too much driving to make it worth it, and you don't have much time at the stops. I wouldn't say that about this tour. The driving wasn't too bad, and we had a decent amount of time everywhere. Our guide Michal was lovely and very helpful.

Very good. - I had a very enrich day with the guide of Veronica, and the view is very beautiful. In general, this trip is not very intense because it gives us time and space to discover by ourselves around. Plus, we experienced multiple climate in one day which is rare in other places.

Thank You Jose & Christos For Going So Far Above & Beyond, & Creating a Trip of a Lifetime!!! - As visitors from the U.S., the #1 item on our bucket list of what we wanted to do in Iceland was to actually hike a glacier. A real hike with crampons, pick axes, and an expert guide. We were a party of 4, researched many options, and Holiday Tours consistently showed up among frequent traveler reviews as the top company, so in February 2025 we made the booking for August 2025 with Holiday Tours. Fast forward to after midnight the night before our tour, and we were double checking everything for our 8 AM departure the next morning, and we realized that we made the booking for only 1 person, but we were a party of 4!! Yikes! In my experience having traveled to 50 or so countries, this had never happened, but we're human, and we make mistakes. We sent an email very late at night, and followed up with a phone call at 7 AM. Lo and behold the COO Jose M. picked up (on a weekend at 7 AM), and committed to doing everything he could to ensure that our party of 4 could hike that glacier as planned! He reached out to the tour guide, Christoph, and by 7:30 AM they had made the accommodations to ensure that our party of 4 could hike that glacier, and make our dream come true! Christoph was an exceptional guide, had a vast geological and archeological background, and ensured that the entire group in his charge ranging in age from under 10 to 70+ hiked that glacier with ease and like pros! We also saw 2 waterfalls, several volcanoes including the famous E15 that halted air travel in 2010, a black sand beach and puffins, but of course the highlight was the unforgettable experience hiking a glacier! Holiday Tours commitment to going above and beyond for their clients (when it was 100% our mistake) is a testament to the level of service and professionalism they provide. We've never made such a mistake before and hopefully will never make this mistake again, but we will always remember our glacier hike with Holiday Tours! Thank you Jose and Christoph for making our dreams come true and creating such wonderful memories!

Amazing Iceland views with incredible tour guides. - Omg I can’t remember his name !!!!! He danced with us on glaciers, sung to us in caves. Showed us trolls inside of mountains!!!!!! This wasn’t even included with the amazing views we had of the waterfalls. Couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide. He needs a big pay raise ❤️
