Highlights
  • Seljalandsfoss - Seljalandsfoss is a waterfall in Iceland. Seljalandsfoss is located in the South Region in Iceland right by Route 1 and the road that leads to Þórsmörk Road 249. The waterfall drops 60 m and is part of the Seljalands River that has its origin in the volcano glacier Eyjafjallajökull.
  • Skogafoss - The Skógafoss is one of the biggest waterfalls in the country with a width of 15 metres (49 feet) and a drop of 60 m (200 ft). Due to the amount of spray the waterfall consistently produces, a single or double rainbow is normally visible on sunny days. According to legend, the first Viking settler in the area, Þrasi Þórólfsson, buried a treasure in a cave behind the waterfall.
  • Solheimajokull Glacier - Sólheimajökull is a glacier in southern Iceland, between the volcanoes Katla and Eijafjallajökkull. Part of the larger Mýrdalsjökull glacier, Sólheimajökull is a prominent and popular tourist location owing to its size and relative ease of access.

We will hike a little bit in the area and take a look at the glacier from the distance.

  • Black Sand Beach - Reynisfjara is a world-famous black-sand beach found on the South Coast of Iceland, just beside the small fishing village of Vík í Mýrdal.

With its enormous basalt stacks, roaring Atlantic waves and stunning panoramas, Reynisfjara is widely considered to be the most beautiful example of Iceland’s black sand beaches. In 1991, National Geographic voted Reynisfjara as one of the Top 10 non-tropical beaches to visit on the planet.

  • Dyrholaey - Dyrhólaey is a stunning promontory located on the southern coast of Iceland. It is known for its dramatic cliffs, black sand beaches, and iconic rock arch. Dyrhólaey offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, including the vast Atlantic Ocean, Reynisfjara Beach, and the Mýrdalsjökull glacier. It is also a popular spot for birdwatching, with puffins nesting in the area during the summer months. Dyrhólaey is a must-visit destination for nature lovers and photographers seeking to capture the beauty of Iceland’s diverse coastline.

Fantastic and accommodating service! - If you're looking for personal service, look no further than Iceland Highlights. Tung was super helpful to our group looking late one night for a day tour to the south cost. We ended up spending 10 hours with the most wonderful Marius who took us to numerous sites, some well off the beaten track, and treated us like family. We then were lucky to spend another evening with Marius in seeming sub-zero weather searching for elusive Northern Lights - what a good sport he was! Thank you Tung and Marius for making our trip to Iceland so memorable. Your service is top notch!!

Great customer service and fantastic experience - We were scrambling to figure out how six of us could go see the waterfalls, a glacier, the black sand beach, and perhaps the Icelandic horses while still making it back in time for dinner reservations that had to be made months in advance. None of the tours worked with our timing. After some late night google searching, we came upon this company who was willing to accommodate our requests. The vehicle was clean (like, brand new clean), the ride was great, but most importantly, our driver Marius was better than anything we expected. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to put up with six loud and demanding middle aged women having the trip of a lifetime. He walked around with us, provided insight, and even agreed to take the many pictures we requested of him. We loved him so much in fact that we booked him for a private Northern Lights excursion the next night as well. We highly recommend using Iceland Highlights for your private tour - worth every penny (krona)!

BAMBOOZLED BY THIS COMPANY!!! - DO NOT TAKE THIS TRIP IF YOU WANT TO GET YOUR MONEY'S WORTH. FOR 2 HOURS 1 1/2 IF YOU PUT IN THE TIME YOU WERE PICKED UP. THE DRIVER DROVE ME AROUND A LITTLE LESS THAN 1 1/2 HOURS AND BROUGHT ME BACK TO THE AIRPORT AND WANTED TO CHARGE ME FOR THE WHOLE FIVE HOURS. THE TRIP WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FOR FIVE HOURS. I AM IN A DISPUTE WITH THEM RIGHT NOW AS I REFUSE TO PAY $728 USD FOR A TRIP THAT IS LESS THAN TWO HOURS. BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE
