A great way to spend an hour and learn interesting factoids! - Never having spent time in Raleigh, I thought this would be a great way to get a first hand look at this city. I learned about how and why the city became the capital of NC, where much of the architecture originated, what many of the older buildings "had been" in their heyday and the history and genesis of the Capital Building. We heard interesting stories of some of the more "colorful" politicians of yesteryear as well as about a very famous politician embezzler and the legacy and buildings his family left within the downtown area. The story of the construction of the Governors Mansion was especially interesting. Andrew, our leader, is very knowledgeable and clearly loves his city.

Great history tour - This way exceeded our expectations. History through stories is one of the best ways to learn and Andrew excels at this. The end of the tour left us wanting to learn more about the history of this very interesting southern city.

Great guide and experience seeing the city I live in. - Great architecture and history lessons as we walked around downtown Raleigh and the Oakwood district. The guide was able to answer questions about a lot of the houses along the tour. Only suggestion would be to make it longer, as there is so much interesting architecture in the area.
