Highly recommend Santiago as a guide - It was a pleasant surprise to have Santiago as my tour guide for the second time during my trip. He took me to more places than I expected and all were unique in their own way. Not only did I get to try new and delicious foods, we visited a small gallery for a coffee tasting, saw lots of great street art and two incredible markets. Santiago was very knowledgeable about architecture and local history. He also helped me pick out local music CDs. All in all, it was a delightful experience.

Introduction to a city’s culture and vibe through food - Really enjoyed the hole in the wall places we got to sample food. The tour was larger in group number than I expected based on the description but I get the sense this tour and locations visited are somewhat customized but the group dynamic which is great.

Engaging tour with lots to eat - Santi was an excellent guide, knowledgeable and engaging. Communication with the tour provider was very good. The food sampling was both delicious and plentiful - as a local, Santi knew the spots to visit. We had a good time talking about the cultural life of Quito while seeing some of the sites of old town and the surrounding area. Nice combo of culinary and culture. I would recommend this tour.

A wonderful introduction to Quito! - Our guide Santiago was delightful! He picked us up from our hotel, and we walked to various markets/stalls and shops. It was our first day in Quito, so it gave us a good overview of the area. We tried different fruits, drinks, savoury and fried food, and a delicious cheese pastry that Santiago said was the best in Quito. I believe him..I subsequently had one at the airport that wasn’t up to scratch! We also got a good view of the city from the Basilica, and saw some incredibly beautiful street art.

Hidden gems in Quito - Santiago was our guide for this two-hour walking tour around Quito. It was relatively easy walking for most travelers. We stopped off at some markets and hole-in-the-wall type places for delicious and overall pretty healthy food and drinks. We had fresh fruit, lots of fresh juice, empanadas, and some traditional breakfast dishes. This tour is approachable for vegetarians or meat-eaters. We were also impressed with Santiago himself. He told us a bit about his travels across South America, as well as his music career. He is fluent in many languages.
