Great day exploring Quito - We had a great day exploring Quito with our guide, Diego. He gave us so much information about Quito and Ecuador throughout the day and navigated us to all of the places with precision including a great place to enjoy lunch. This was a very enjoyable tour.

Great tour if you only have 1 day in Quito - Diego was amazing. We booked the private tour option and Diego adjusted the schedule based on weather. His english was excellent and easy to understand. He informed us of the history and culture of Quito as we travelled along the entire trip. It was a full day and feel like we got a good taste of what Quito has to offer in the short time we were there.

The teleférico views were gorgeous! We also hiked to the swing. The middle of the world museum and all of its hands on activities was my favorite activity, it was so fun! The chocolate was tasting was delicious as well. I highly recommend this tour with Daniel!

Full day and lots to see - Our guide, Diego, picked us up at our hotel in Puembo for an extra fee. Once we were in the old town area, he parked the car and we started walking. It was interesting being on a private tour with just us two and the guide. He gave us a lot of history as we walked the streets. Diego was good with answering our questions. We went into several churches and he allowed us time to reflect. Part of the tour, we had a Chocolate Tasting Tour, which was fun. In the mean time, he had gone and picked up the car, so we found him and then went to the Teleferico. What a view of the city! It was cold up there, but we had brought our coats. We then went to the Crater Inn and had a late lunch overlooking the crater. Absolutely beautiful and amazing food and service! We then went to the Mitad del Mundo museum. It was very informative and we enjoyed that part of the tour a lot. We did get out passports stamped, too. We were returned to our hotel after a great day. We enjoyed the tour and felt it was very worthwhile and fun.

Wonderful action packed day in Quito - Diego took us on a wonderful action packed day in Quito. We were only in Quito for 1 day, so it was a great private tour to encompass all the main sites in a short space of time. Itinerary was scheduled around the weather which worked well. Highlight was the Intiñan museum to learn more about the aboriginal culture and of course to appreciate being on the equitorial line!

Good itinerary - Our tour guide, Xavier, was excellent. Ended up in a small group of only 3 people. Well worth going to middle of the World. Old town Quito was also interesting. Sadly, when we went to the Teleferico, it was closed for maintenance so we didn’t get to do the cable car or walk around the volcano…which were the primary reasons I booked the tour. Instead, Xavier took us to the Virgin statue and overlook, which I appreciated but still left a hole in the itinerary. As the entrance fee was included in the tour cost, I would have appreciated an offer to refund or give a tour credit. In any case, overall it was a good way to see some of the city.

Horrible experience - Less then 24hrs before my tour I get a message from the tour company that a surcharge of $50 is required to pick me up from the Quito airport hotel, even though I designated this pickup location when I booked it months ago. Then they go on to tell me I was the only one that booked that tour, so it will be another $85 if I want to go on the same date. They pointed out in the “fine print” that they had the right to do this. Apparently having the right is more important then good customer service. They ended up canceling and refunding my money, but it was a horrible experience. I would think twice before booking another tour with Viator.
