Above and beyond experience with Misael - Misael is an amazing tour guide. He is very knowledgeable, providing the perfect amount of history and explanations of the sites we visited. He is so patient and we took our time seeing everything on the agenda. I never felt rushed, allowing me to really enjoy everything we were seeing. I cannot recommend Misael enough!

Expert local guide to Quito’s best attractions - We could not have had a better guide or a more complete one day in introduction to Quito. Our guide, Patricio, not only showed us the top attractions but provided detailed accounts of natural, cultural, and political history that brought the city to life. A highlight was an early visit to the fruit market; we also had a delicious lunch at a local brewery near “the middle of the world.” Our guy took extra time throughout the day to be sure we had a satisfying experience.

Pato was a wonderful... - Pato was a wonderful guide. He was fun and informative. We had a great time exploring Quito with him. We especially enjoyed going to a local market and sampling some delicious fruit. The Teleferico and hike were nice and Pato kept checking to make sure we were OK with the altitude since we had just gotten to Quito the night before. Throughout the day, Pato took lots of pictures of us. We mentioned that we were interested in Ecuadorian chocolate, and after a tour of the Basilica and Old Town and a delicious lunch, we went to Yumbo's for a chocolate tasting. Our last stop before returning to the hotel was Mitad del Mundo. It was really interesting and I balanced an egg on its end. Pato gave us some recommendations for restaurants near our hotel when we mentioned we were going out for dinner, and we enjoyed the one we chose. We had a great day with Pato and would recommend this tour. Next time we are in Quito, we'll try to do a different tour with Pato.

Great Day Out in Quito - On our private Quito city tour, Pamela was an excellent, friendly guide and our driver was also fantastic. Pamela speaks nearly flawless English and we learned so much about Quito’s history, The pace was perfect, she was very flexible with what we wanted to see, her restaurant recommendation was top notch. Now I want to come back again and see more!

A wonderful whirlwind tour of Quito - We just finished a wonderful full day tour of Quito and surrounding attractions with Pato. He picked us up at our hotel and took us to Pululahua nature preserve where he shared his knowledge of flora and fauna and we saw amazing scenery. He made sure we saw Middle of the Earth and Teleferica cable car, as well as Old Town Quito. As we drove around he shared info on Quito's geography, politics, foods and culture. We learned a lot! He picked a great restaurant for lunch with delicious Ecuadorean foods and an view of Plaza de la Independencia. After viewing several cathedrals, we ended with a chocolate tasting at Jumbo's. We never expected to see so much in 1 day! Pato is the perfect Quito ambassador! He is knowledgeable, friendly, and thoughtful and kind to visitors and fellow Ecuadorians alike. We highly recommend this tour!

Exceptional tour leader and tour of Quito - Pato provided us a marvelous cultural, historical, and personal tour of Quito. We particularly enjoyed the tour of the local market, the Guayasamin museum and house, and the Voter Cathedral. Pato filled every minute with fun and interesting information. He is a knowledgeable and charming leader. It was an exceptional visit.

Excellent Cultural Overview and Positive Experience with Knowledgeable Local Quito Guide - I highly recommend this company and this tour. I literally had one day in Quito, and less than half a day to see some of the sites that I really wanted to see. I was fortunate to learn of ECUADOR A COLOR, and found the owner, Patricio (Pato) to be very quick and responsive over WhatsApp, and he was able to tailor the private tour to my personal needs. Whereas the whole day private tour usually starts in the old town and basilica, then goes to the teleferico, then finishes at the "Center of the World," I wanted to do the tour in reverse order; because I had a private excursion, Pato was more than happy to accommodate my wishes. He was able to assign me a very knowledgeable guide and driver - Kathy - who not only spoke English well, but she also had a wealth of historical and contextual information that made my visit feel like a deeper cultural immersion than I would have received from a guidebook if I had visited these sites on my own. Ecuador A Color, Pato, and Kathy respected my time, made my logistics easier, and gave me the quick version immersion tour that I wanted. When I am next in Quito, I will be happy to utilize this group's services again.
