- Alambi Reserve - At an elevation of 1,900 meters (6,233 ft), visitors will be captivated by hummingbirds, air plants, orchids, and other exotic species! After navigating the winding road, there will be a stop at a Hummingbird farm to enjoy breathtaking encounters with these tiny creatures and the stunning landscape.
- Mindo - After capturing numerous photos, the journey continues directly to Mindo village, situated at the southern edge of the Choco/Andean biodiversity hotspots extending from southwestern Colombia to northwestern Ecuador. Recognized by Birdlife International in 1997, the Mindo area holds international significance for birds. In this enchanting green realm, a wealth of life awaits discovery! A cable car ride across a 530-meter-long cable to the other side of the mountains is part of the adventure!
- Mindo Nambillo Cloud Forest Reserve - Following the memorable ride, guests can embark on a hike lasting 1 to 2 hours, depending on their physical condition, to visit the stunning waterfalls known as: “Ondinas”, “Guarumos”, “Colibríes”, “Madre”, and “Los Maderos”. A refreshing dip is possible at any of these sites! The private guided tour will introduce visitors to the lush vegetation of the cloud forest, its birdlife, and the fascinating adaptations to life in this unique environment.
- Mindo - There will be time for lunch and possibly other activities such as visiting an orchid and butterfly farm or one of the town’s highlights, the chocolate factory!
- Quito - Guests will return to their hotel in Quito at approximately 5:30 p.m.

Beautiful Mindo! Must do! - We really enjoyed our day tour to the Mindo Cloud Forest. My favorite was the hummingbird garden, where the birds come and feed right off your hand. It was really amazing. We also did a coffee tasting and a chocolate tour and tasting, which was really fun. We hiked down to a beautiful waterfall, and took the cable car over the cloud forest. Our guide, Diana, was super knowledgeable and friendly. I would definitely recommend it.

Carlos was absolutely... - Carlos was absolutely amazing! He taught me so much and even my next tour guides asked where I learned some of the info he gave me. The hummingbirds were also amazing!!!! I was not expecting to enjoy it, but hand-feeding them was worth it!!!

Wonderful day - The tour was wonderful. The coffee and chocolate tastings were super informative. And delicious! Conquered my fear and tried ziplining for the first time! Beautiful views. Hiked to a pretty waterfall (medium difficulty) and saw lots of orchids. Seeing the hummingbirds was the best part of the day!! So many different species to see and other types of birds to watch out for. Tour guide Ximena was amazing! So knowledgeable and accommodating the entire time. Highly recommend this tour!!

Must do tour -great value - Great day out really packed in activities and saw a toucan in a tree! The hummingbirds were magical. the waterfall and cable car and hike were beautiful experience, marvellous lunch and the chocolate tour was outstanding with lots of tasting ( unexpected) loved it all! Thx to our wonderful guide Ivan for making it a truly memorable day

Very professional great experiance - Great day trip. They can work with you and if you are more adventerous / athletic, then you can do more hiking or cloud line biking, if you want something more simple then can do hummingbird house, butterflies house, & chocolate tasting. Our tour guide Diane was absolutely fantastic, very kind, knowledgeable, and safe. Driver Josè was great. Showed up 15 minutes early to the hotel and our van was large and comfortable for a group of six.

A perfect day - Another 5 star review! Jimena helped us plan a personalized tour that ended up perfectly fitting our interests. She was a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable and patient with us, and even extending the tour a bit so we could have more time at the VERY unique coffee roasting demonstration. Combining that with the waterfall nature hike, biking on zip lines, lunch, butterflies and hummingbirds made it a perfect day! One thing to note: I didn't see any bugs but did end up with some minor "ankle bites" a day later, so use bug spray!

We had a great time!!!!! - I booked the Bird Watching tour in Mindo Valley through the Ecuador Best Tours website. The process was easy and convenient.
For the tour, our guide was Carlos, and he was fantastic. He was punctual, knowledgeable, easygoing, and so much fun to be around. I asked him countless questions throughout the journey, and he answered every one of them patiently. We had such a great time exploring both Mindo Valley.
Carlos’s driving was safe and comfortable, and his car was well-maintained, neat, and super clean. Overall, I had an amazing experience and would highly recommend both Ecuador Best Tours and Carlos as a guide.
