- Alambi Reserve - At an elevation of 1,900 meters (6,233 ft), visitors will be captivated by hummingbirds, air plants, orchids, and other exotic species! After navigating the winding road, there will be a stop at a Hummingbird farm to enjoy breathtaking encounters with these tiny creatures and the stunning landscape.
- Mindo - After capturing numerous photos, the journey continues directly to Mindo village, situated at the southern edge of the Choco/Andean biodiversity hotspots extending from southwestern Colombia to northwestern Ecuador. Recognized by Birdlife International in 1997, the Mindo area holds international significance for birds. In this enchanting green realm, a wealth of life awaits discovery! A cable car ride across a 530-meter-long cable to the other side of the mountains is part of the adventure!
- Mindo Nambillo Cloud Forest Reserve - Following the memorable ride, guests can embark on a hike lasting 1 to 2 hours, depending on their physical condition, to visit the stunning waterfalls known as: “Ondinas”, “Guarumos”, “Colibríes”, “Madre”, and “Los Maderos”. A refreshing dip is possible at any of these sites! The private guided tour will introduce visitors to the lush vegetation of the cloud forest, its birdlife, and the fascinating adaptations to life in this unique environment.
- Mindo - There will be time for lunch and possibly other activities such as visiting an orchid and butterfly farm or one of the town’s highlights, the chocolate factory!
- Quito - Guests will return to their hotel in Quito at approximately 5:30 p.m.

- It was a wonderful day trip. We took the cable car across the deep gorge, then hiked to a beautiful waterfall. Yvonne, our guide was so knowledgeable. Feeding the hummingbirds and learning about chocolate was definitely a highlight.

Beautiful day in Mindo - My husband and I did the full-day Mindo Cloud Forest tour and had a fantastic time. Our amazing guide, Jimena, picked us up from our hotel in Quito, and we made our way to Reserva El Pahuma where we did a medium-intensity hike to the waterfalls. We saw so many species of orchids and other beautiful flowers.
After the waterfall hike, we headed to the Mariposa Sanctuary where we saw so many breathtaking butterflies. Next we stopped by a small chocolate-making shop. It was so fun to see the chocolate being made and then get to taste the delicious results.
My favorite part of the day was our last stop at a hummingbird habitat. We got to feed hummingbirds from the palms of our hands, and we’d have multiple species land on us at once—it was truly magical. The icing on the cake was getting to see an adorable capybara up close.
Jimena was a knowledgeable and friendly guide, and we’re so grateful to her for introducing us to the beauty of Mindo.

A great tour and guide - Humilda/Jumilda was a really wonderful guide. She tailored everything to our wants and needs and we had an outstanding experience. She was very knowledgeable and informative. The hike to a waterfall was beautiful and our coffee tasting was educational and hands-on fun. Loved seeing the butterflies and feeding the hummingbirds. I give the highest of recommendations to our guide and this tour.

Excellent Guide for a Trip to Mindo - Daniel was a wonderful host and guide. We saw and fed hummingbirds, took a hike, had an excellent lunch, and received a private tour of a chocolate making facility. Great experience!

An Absolutely Fabulous Day! - My friend and I chose this tour because of the great recommendation it got online. We couldn't have picked better! If was the last day of our 9 days in Ecuador and was, by far, our favorite! Our guide, Ximena, was marvelous! She went out of her way to pick us up at our hostel, and she took great care to offer us a personalized experience that we will never forget. We were offered several choices, and we chose the orchid trail with waterfall, the cable car, the sky bikes (a thrilling adventure like we've never had!), the butterfly garden, and a hummingbird sanctuary. Each place was absolutely wonderful, and Ximena planned out the timing perfectly to take advantage of the weather and the location of each place. Each place had it's own entrance fee, but the cost was minimal (typically $5-10 each), and well worth it. Ximena was knowledgeable, personable, informative, as well as an excellent driver and guide. I would definitely recommend this tour!

Mindo cloud forest - I booked a solo trip with Ivan as my guide. The itinerary was flexible to suit me and Ivan was an amazing guide. I was given ample time at each site we visited and Ivan provided thoughtful insight into the country side we were driving through.

Amazing tour. Watched... - Amazing tour. Watched hummingbirds, hiked to the waterfalls, rode the cable car, went to the butterfly farm and the orchid farm. This place deserves a multi day tour though, we only covered one hiking trail (albeit the most beautiful waterfall) and did not have time to do the chocolate tour. Need to come back!

Amazing trip to the Mindo Cloud Forest - The beauty of the area is a must see! If you are a birder, the hummingbirds sanctuary is a must. Ecuador is home to 20% of the world’s hummingbird species.
