An Active Expedition! It’s in the name! - This Ecuador adventure was a fantastic and thrilling experience. Fun activities and spectacular views every single day. Daniel Maldonado was our humorous bilingual local-guide, making constant adjustments to make sure our trip was smooth sailing. Weather had an impact to areas which relocated our itinerary to other cities with equal if not better activities. I will always remember this truly fascinating active expedition.
I would recommend this trip to all personnel, activity adaptations are made based on liveliness.

Come for the adventure, stay for the people - My partner and I have been doing trips like these over the past few years and have been completely sold at this point that we have to do an active trip with a guide every year now. If you’re looking for the validation to book the trip, here it is!
You’ll spend your trip split between the Andes going on challenging hikes, biking through beautiful mountain landscapes, climbing up the vertical faces of waterfalls, hanging out with eccentric locals, and maybe even eat a big bug or two if you’re up for it.
The trip is one whirlwind, nonstop action fest so get a good nights sleep (won’t be hard— the places you’ll stay are top) and a snack— maybe an ice cream from the ice cream town.
You’ll come to see the sights but you’ll feel like you left with life long friendship with those you come in contact with. And isn’t that worth more than the price of entry? Yes.

Trip of a lifetime! - If you’re thinking about booking through Active Ecuador, don’t hesitate! My boyfriend and I just had the most epic adventure with them, and it was hands down one of the best trips ever. Our guide, Christian, was absolutely amazing and made the whole experience unforgettable.
From the get-go, Christian’s passion for Ecuador and his knowledge of the area was obvious. He made us feel like we were exploring with a friend, not just a tour guide.
The activities were seriously awesome – hiking through stunning landscapes to discovering hidden gems we’d never have found on our own.

Absolutely amazing! Memories for life! - I could not recommend this trip more! The guides were amazing, the places we went to were stunning and the activities were so much fun! The guides are knowledgeable and can answer any question. I am definitely more knowledgeable about Ecuadorean culture after my trip! They’re great company and always made sure i was safe. Its a perfect trip to see different parts of what the country has to offer starting off in Quito, then to the jungle and finishing off in the Andes hiking Cotopaxi. The trip consisted of various activities like rafting, canoeing, stand up paddle boarding, hiking, biking, swimming and canyoning, which is great for people who love activities and challenging yourself. I made memories for life and will definitely come back and spend more time in this wonderful country. As a female solo traveler who wanted to visit Ecuador it was perfect! I always felt safe and looked after! I absolutely loved it!

Amazing vacation in Ecuador!! - We absolutely love our trip to Ecuador. The scenery, the activities, the accommodations, the food - all of it was perfect. Our guide was fantastic and the trip was so much fun for our entire family of 11 on the trip. Activexhibitions was great to work with, responsive and a great value. Will use their services again!!

Unforgettable experience - My husband and I went on the Active Ecuador trip for my 50th birthday. Everyday was a unique experience that put me a little out of my comfort zone (which was a good thing). The white water rafting wasn't as scary as I thought it would be. It was really fun! We only skipped the Cotopaxi hike b/c it was super cold and really windy out that day so much so that my hat was going to fly off. Alirio was a great guide and driver. He was very easy going and down to earth. I'm considering another ActivExpedition trip to Colombia (if I can convince my husband to go!)

Great active adventure - Amazing trip! Our guide Danny was incredibly knowledgeable about Ecuador's history, geography, culture, and biology. He showed us some fantastic places to eat and experience the amazing nature of Ecuador. This trip was a ton of fun and a great mix of activities to keep us entertained and moving. Would definitely recommend.

Ecuadorian Adventure - Really great trip! Dani made sure we had a good time no matter how we were feeling. He had a lot of good insights into nature and culture and he seemed very genuine. The activities were fun and well paced, it will be a good time for sure.

Amazing trip that we will cherish for the rest of our lives! - This was the coolest experience I have done and it’s a perfect mix for someone who wants to be active during the day while still having time for some leisure and relaxing time in the evening! I had no idea what to expect but Ecuador has so much to offer and its diversity and richness in natural resources was astounding.
What really made this experience special and unforgettable was our guide Daniel (Dani). Dani is so knowledgeable about so many things - history, geology, biology, food and he does his job with so much passion and enthusiasm that it really makes you excited about each thing you are doing or learning about. I will say this tour also pushes you a bit out of your comfort zones at times if like me you are active but haven’t done many “adventures” but Dani made it feel so safe every step of the way that I had no doubt I can complete each activity!
I really can’t choose which day was my favorite between biking, repelling through waterfalls (definitely the most unique experience), rafting etc.
Thank you ActivExpeditions and Dani for the most amazing trip! I hope we can do this again in the future!

Amazing adventure with the best tour guide! - The tour was very well organized by Christian, he took us to the most beautiful places, delicious restaurants and nice hotels in his comfortable jeep. Very safe and responsable driver! The activities are a lot of fun! Would definitely recommend this tour with Chris!
