Volcan Antisana - On the journey from Quito to Tena city, we’ll reach the highest point at 4,100 meters above sea level, known as La Virgen. If the weather is favorable, we’ll pause to capture stunning views of the Antisana Volcano, which stands at 5,753 meters above sea level.
Guango Lodge - Located near the páramo and Papallacta hot springs, the Guango area is a paradise for hummingbird lovers and photographers. It’s common to see up to 14 species of hummingbirds in an hour, with the Sword-billed Hummingbird and its unique long bill being a standout. Our scenic views and diverse trails offer plenty of opportunities for hiking amidst beautiful forest-covered mountains. Our cozy lodge provides a perfect retreat in the heart of this natural wonderland.
Cavernas Jumandy - Embark on an exciting expedition lasting 30 to 45 minutes through water depths ranging from 30 cm to 1.10 m. Your local guide will provide a flashlight to help you navigate the stone landscapes filled with stalactites, stalagmites, and hidden waterfalls. Water shoes are recommended. After the activity, you can shower and change before continuing your adventure.
Rio Napo - After a city tour, we’ll cross the Napo River for a paddle canoe ride on the Huaorani Lagoon. Here, we can observe various animals, including toucans, different monkey species, the prehistoric hoatzin bird, and the Amazon’s mighty fish, the Paiche. We may also encounter small turtles called charapas and caimans during our excursion.
Bajo Pusuno (Ahuano) - Upon arrival at the EcoLodge, take some time to relax.
7:30 PM | After a delightful Special Dinner, join us for a NIGHT WALK in the Jungle. As the forest comes alive with the nocturnal symphony of frogs, you’ll have the chance to observe fascinating creatures such as fishing bats, nocturnal monkeys, owls, snakes, amphibians, tarantulas, toads, alligators, and perhaps even snakes. Don’t forget to bring a flashlight for this adventure. Plus, it’s a perfect opportunity for stargazing and marveling at the constellations.

Misahualli - After breakfast, we’ll transfer to the Rayucocha Ecological Primary Rainforest.
Rio Pusuno - After an exhilarating jungle hike, enjoy our thrilling RIVER TUBING or kayak activity. Using only your hands to row, you’ll float on a buoy, surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the Amazon rainforest. Whether you prefer a solo adventure or a romantic experience as a couple, this serene activity allows you to fully immerse yourself in the tranquility of the river. Don’t forget to bring your life jacket and sandals for a safe and enjoyable ride.
Discovering the Waterfalls Route, Trekking to Devil’s Cauldron Waterfall, and Swinging at the End of the World
Napo Province - After breakfast, we’ll journey to Puyo, also known as ‘Nuestra Señora del Rosario de Pompeya de Puyo,’ the capital of Pastaza province. Situated in the eastern Andes at an altitude of 3,051.18 feet, this vibrant city is home to over 50,000 residents and boasts enchanting natural beauty. A must-visit spot is the House of the Balsa in the El Dorado neighborhood, where visitors can explore a variety of handcrafted souvenirs made from Balsa wood, Chonta, Clay, and Amazonian seeds.
Then, our journey continues to Tungurahua province.
La Casa del Arbol - Our next destination is La Casa del Árbol, nestled on the slopes of the volcano in the Runtún area, famously known as the Swing at the End of the World. Here, you can capture a breathtaking photo while swinging, with the backdrop of smoke rising from the active Tungurahua volcano. Completing the scene is the natural channel indicating the route through which lava would descend. This experience truly immerses your senses, placing you amidst the Andes mountain range, and with just a turn, you can take in the lush canopy of the rainforest.
Afterwards, we’ll proceed to our accommodation in the city of Baños de Agua Santa. Your guide will also recommend additional viewpoints or tourist attractions to enhance your experience.
Banos - At 8:20 PM, join us for a captivating City by Night tour, immersing yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of Baños de Agua Santa. Learn about the city’s unique charm and vibrant nightlife scene, as well as its renowned gastronomy. Please note that dinner is not included.
The Cotopaxi Volcano is One of the Highest Active Volcanoes in the World, Located in the “Avenida de los Volcanes”
Banos - After breakfast, travel to Cotopaxi province. During our journey, we’ll make a brief stop at the Salasaka Indian Market, an ideal spot for those seeking souvenirs or hiking equipment for exploring the Cotopaxi Active Volcano.
Cotopaxi - Trek from the 4,500-meter parking lot to the José Rivas refuge at 4,864 meters, the second highest volcano in Ecuador. Enjoy sightings of wildlife like moorland foxes, rabbits, deer, curiquingues, and condors along the way. The ascent and descent typically take two to two and a half hours, depending on fitness and weather conditions. At the refuge, take in stunning views and possibly see snow up close. Facilities include restrooms, a coffee shop, and food options. Remember to bring cash for purchases and don’t forget to stamp your passport with the official Cotopaxi stamp as a memento.
Laguna de Limpiopungo - Our final stop is at the Limpiopungo lagoon, situated at 3,800 meters above sea level and covering approximately 200 hectares. Surrounding the lagoon are numerous reed plants and native medicinal plants. You may also observe Andean gulls, ducks, curiquingues, and other birds flying around the area. Afterward, we will continue our journey to Quito city.
Quito - Return to Quito to conclude the Amazon and Andes tour.
