Cotopaxi hike and bike! - I had the best time on this tour with our outstanding local tour guide, Joel! He was so accommodating, fun, and educational! I would highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Ecuador. He let us have multiple stops for photos in front of Cotopaxi.

Excellent guide and excursion - I had a great time EN the tour DE Cotopaxi with Joselo - he was also my guide the day before when I did the tour to Quilotoa. Joselo ES very good guide and DA lots of information about the landscapes you see EN route to the place DE main interest, and ES able DE explain himself DE EN ENGLISH as EN Spanish, which works very well for mixed groups. EN: bi EN organized, bu EN price, had vegan options for me on both tours in restaurants that were really welcoming and nice, and everything was perfect for me. EN Cotopaxi I climbed up to 5000m and EN Quilotoa I managed to walk a bit and also kayak. I also cycled EN COTOPAXI PARKING LOT which was a lot of fun - all I would suggest ES investing NO more adjustable helmets because I don’t know EN you that mine was going to do a lot in a fall and several people were going the same with very cool helmets, and also fixing a belt that NO works EN the bus - are two things to improve tourist safety... the rest was perfect. Very good excursions, thank you Jose!

Climbed up to the Cotopaxi base camp lodge and then cycled down a portion of the road - Amazing trip, Joel our tour guide was really interesting and great fun. The walk up the mountain was a good challenge and then the bike ride down was really fun.

Fun tour with a great... - Fun tour with a great guide, Joel -- very funny and fun. I was glad the hike was a good workout (I couldn't tell from the description whether it would be). I was a little disappointed that we didn't got to 5000m or the glaciers, like the description said. Apparently that was "a different tour." It was fun that people from different tours were combined on the bus so we could meet people with overlapping itineraries. So people know, the biking can be a little scary! It's a fairly steep gravel road with lots of curves and shared with cars, thankfully you can go as slow as you want or skip it entirely, just thought people should know, even though I enjoyed it. Personally, I could've skipped the breakfast stop in favor of having more time at the mountain earlier in the day (even a quick sit-down breakfast takes time!) Our group saw a fox, a condor, and some other birds at the lake. We had really clear weather too.

Not recommended. I could have died. - A most horrible unsafe experience. We went up to Refuge in Cotopaxi and driver tells me your payment is not found. I showed him receipt. He says owner said to leave you here and not let you continue you have to give me cash. I say why did you pick me up and take me on tour if your records don't show me. Take a picture of my credit card and passport. They got paid. Owner wanted to leave me stranded at 4800 meters 15,000 feet in the cold and with high winds. A most horrible experience. I could have died.
