Your tour guide will pick you up at 7:00 a.m. from your hotel in Quito, and then we will drive you straight through the eastern mountain range, until the village of Pintag, where you start to drive uphill way to the Ecological Reserve!

incredible experience - absolutely incredible tour. Our guide was Luis. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. It was a nice hike up the hill. We saw four condors and a lot of other animals and birds. Lunch was absolutely amazing. We enjoyed every moment. Thank you very much.

Fantastic adventure! - What an incredible day. Luis picked me up at my hotel and off we went up to the nearly empty national park where it felt like we were the only two people in the area. Along the way we were fortunate to spot not one but 10 (!!) condors soaring and playing together. Given that there are approximately 100 birds total in existence, we saw a remarkable 10% of them. It was breathtaking to watch them - especially when they swooped down close to us. We continued up to the park with stops along the way to spot seedeaters, flowerpiercers, caracaras, black-faced ibises, tyrants, variable hawks, and an abundance of deer. Once in the park, we hiked up to about 13000ft and the mountain came out of the clouds for most of our time there providing incredible views. On the way back, we stopped for a lovely typical Ecuadorean lunch at a small local restaurant, where the hummingbirds were out in full force. Luis was an excellent guide with deep knowledge of the area and its inhabitants - and a great sense of humor - and I felt very lucky to have him as my teacher. It could not have been a better day and I highly recommend this excursion.

Amazing! - We had an amazing day trip to Antisana with Josue. He was very knowledge and spoke very good English. We were extremely lucky and saw condors. They flew over us many times and were close to us. We did a short hike to a view point of Antisana. We saw very few people the whole day. Thanks Josue!

Great Lesser Traveled Destination - This tour was awesome!!! It is about a two hour drive from Quito but worth it. Our guide Miriam (sorry if I botched the spelling) was right on time for an easy pickup from our hotel lobby. Our driver met us with a private car and Miriam provided some great information about Ecuador and Quito that made the drive pass quickly. Our first stop was a visit to the Condor outlook where we spent some time viewing them flying above the mountains. Along the way to Antisana National Park Miriam pointed out lots of wildlife and made sure to stop so we could take photos. After a hike and some time to take in the scenery, we headed to Tambo Condor where we had some fabulous food while watching from an overlook to spot more condors and hummingbirds flying around. Can’t recommend this tour enough.

A very nice day trip. - We really enjoyed the day. We saw 1 condor, many hummingbirds, white tail deer, and caracaras. The guide, Andres, was knowledgeable and very personable. Antisana park is very nice.

Condors and more - Saw many condors, as well as many other bird. Luis was fantastic, knowledgeable about local history, flora and fauna.. Lots of birds, amazing views. Fantastic lunch coupled with 6 species of hummingbirds. We even got to see the volcano through a gap in the clouds. 100% recommend.

(Condor) tour with Luis! - We had a lovely day with Luis! He knows absolutely everything there is to know about the flora and fauna of the surroundings. As two students travelling on a budget, it was worth every penny! Would 100% recommend if you are a nature fan and especially if you also love birdwatching.

Awe inspiring - This trip was all that was promised including all four seasons of weather in just a few short hours. Luis possessed many knowledges and answered all our questions about birds, flora, the terrain, the history, and the country. He had a keen eye and could find all kinds of birds hopping among the tall grasses. He also tailored the experience to our prioirities. We were still adjusting to the altitude yet wanted to take the longer moderate hike up the mountain. Luis adjusted the pace of the hike to our needs. We saw beautiful volcanoes, lagoons, and many birds such as rare hummingbirds and condors. Antisana wreathed in ever changing clouds was amazing! The delicious lunch was a bonus.

Worth the money as it is beautiful. - The views. Most amazing scenery. Nature is Nature, we missed out on the condors unfortunately. Never mind. We went for a meal and the restaurant was brilliant. Had some lovely gifts there to buy.
