Amazing authentic Ecuadorian cooking experience - We had a chance to visit and taste from the the local market. We then met a local chef and sous chef who helped us prepare a 3 course meal and 2 different drinks. The experience was fabulous and we walked away with the recipes and full bellies. They made the experience very easy by picking us up at the hotel and delivering us back. Highly recommend this tour!

Terrific cooking class filled with love Ecuadorian style - Awesome time. 1. They picked us up by car at our hotel and then we drove to the market 2. At the market a fresh juice drink and a tour. Beautiful stands of fruit, vegetables and meat. We tried many exotic fruits. 3. Off to a beautiful courtyard with a small kitchen where the two chefs spent alot of time explaining everything we were making. We had potato soup, shrimp cervice, and fried plaintains with chocolate sauce for lunch...All yummy and all with ingredients fresh from the market earlier. There was so much love in everything they did. The experience could not have been better. It was just the two of us..I suppose they could handle 4-6, but no large crowds. Truly a wonderful day. The day was a little over 4 hours. We were stuffed and couldnt have dinner that night. When we were done we all took the Metro back to our hotel since car traffic was bad at 5pm. They wanted to walk us back to our hotel, but it was right across the street so no need. BTW..the metro is 7 months old and beautiful. We used it often..45 cents a ride...22 cents for seniors. A great day... I recommend this highly

Great cooking experience! - We try to immerse ourselves a bit in the culture of a new place and what better way than their cooking! Andres was very friendly and informative on our drive to the old town. We learned a bit at the local food market before heading to our class. Silvia and margola were great. We learned simple but tasty dishes we can make at home. Enjoyable day!

Wish we could rate it 100 stars!! - We had the most fun and amazing experience today with Andres, Sylvia and Margola! Andres picked us up at our hotel and took us to Mercado Central to purchase items for our cooking class. We sampled delicious juice, fruits, herbs and vegetables along the way. We were then taken to the historic center for a wonderful time of cooking locro de papa, canalazo, shrimp ceviche , chocolate soup and pantconera. We participated in all aspects of cooking. And our teachers, Margola and Sylvia taught us with exceptional skill and kindness. The meal was phenomenal and we were given all the recipes! My husband can’t wait for me to make these dishes at home! The ladies went above and beyond by escorting us back via the new subway system. We were thrilled with this cooking experience and highly recommend it. If we could rate it 100 stars we would!! If you are in Quito, don’t miss this experience. Gracias Margola, Sylvia and Andres! We will always think of your kindness and expertise and will think of you every time we make these dishes at home.

A tour with lots of extras - We had our two grandkids 15 and 17 with us and they had fun too! Andres and Sylvia took us to a fabulous market to buy produce for our class. Margola (hope I spelled her name right) was the chef and she was very knowledgeable, informative, interesting and fun. She and Sylvia went above and beyond for us. It was May 24, Ecuadors Independence Day and there were parades all day and thousands of people in the streets. No way to drive us back to our hotel. They personally navigated through throngs of people and took us on the metro back to our hotel. An experience we would have missed. Would highly recommend their class!

An engaging class - We had a fabulous experience with Andres, Sylvia and Magda. I have a dinner party planned after our practice🍴 The preparations were healthy and delicious. I hope Magda puts together an Ecuadorian cookbook! The morning was delightful.

Fun, but not really a cooking lesson - At the beginning, we had a fun trip I the market to pick out ingredients for the lesson. The guide told us a lo of interesting information about the different plants and fruits, and let us sample a few things. The class want very hands on though- the chef was extremely nice, bu she did all of the cooking, excepts for occasionally giving on of us something to peel or chop. W had a nice time talking, and eating the dishes, but I wouldn’t b able to make any of them
